We have a lot of broke Mercs in the game of dust 514 just in the last month I've gave away and spent about 200 million 100 from personal bank and 100 million from our corp bank to Mercs that are so broke they can't even play I know there are free suits and people say play public matches but that's not enough.you can buy in game money now but what I'm asking is will we ever be able to buy Isk from the in game market not buy a third party but in the game. |

If people are broke, then it's their own fault. You can run full standard constantly and pull massive profit. If you're smart with Advanced and Proto you also pull profit. However if you're using more than you can afford to lose, that's your own fault and I have no sympathy.
You will NEVER be able to directly buy ISK with real cash. At best you'll be able to eventually but AUR items and re-sell them to other players for ISK.
Also, RMT is a bannable offense, don't do it.

This is a result of the "no more BPO's" mandate from CCP. In my opinion, players should be using less expensive suits to better manage their funds.
Here's the thing - players complain that they don't have ISK, and then also complain that there are too many protobears in pub matches. many of the players now complaining of not having ISK are the ones who over spent to proto pub stomp. Things are balancing, and players should adjust their play style to match. Proto suits were always meant to be special situation suits, and CCP has said this many times. Players are now learning that this is, in fact, how the game is set up to work.
Sorry, but no sympathy here.

There is already a fix for this. Have 2 or 3 in engineering and electronics. Fit a tier one LOGI with uplinks. Take a cheap LAV and run around pubs just dropping uplinks, hitting Supply Depots and changing to the same fit and doing it again. Get your 1k WP and 150K+ ISK and do it again.
The game is still an MMO and most MMO's have legit RPG elements and one of the common elements is the resource grind. I dance between different fits so I always seem to have about 3mil at the bare minimum and on a good week i'm with 50+ of every of my fit with 7 to 10 mil ISK. If I fall below 3mil then I grind out ambush with a frontline build and an uplink.
I think the existing solution is adequate. Grind. |

eventually when the player market hits I can see aurum items like boosters and aur gear will be able to be sold on it. I don't see aur gear being worth selling with the new lp store gear but I think the booster sales will be a profitable $>isk market that puts a decent penny in CCP's wallet as well just like the plex system in eve. Until then find cheap ways to make cash. Jihaad jeeps pay well and so does instillation farming.

It's there own fault if their broke. Tell them to stop running proto and advanced gear for the hell of it. Also don't give them ISK either, if you do they will never learn how to make an independent profit.

To be clear, it means spending real money to purchase in-game content through anyone other than CCP. Using a third party to buy ISK would be considered RMT.

The way you buy ISK in this game is by buying equipment that doesn't cost ISK, and then using it in battle to acquire ISK.
This is important because of economics, which I realize is not a factor right now because there's no in-game market, but it doesn't make sense to code a feature that's just going to have to be removed later.

spambush builds empires, die twice a match payout = 100k losses = 60-80k... profit = 40 - 20k
and isk is available on the aurum market(sort of) a suit and weapon is probably 70% of a merc's expenditures it's not that hard to build an aurum suit that costs like 7k-10k isk and it competitive.
in all my time in dust, I've never been broke, there have been times where I was running 3/5 matches in bpo gear to fund dropships, there were those times a plenty, but I was never broke. if CCP wants to put isk on the aurum market I suppose that it's there own personal prerogative but it sounds like the mercs in question are bad at managing their expenses.

This is why many have been asking CCP to change the end of match screen from kill / death statistics (pointless for imortals) to isk stats. Actually show our profit / loss. Show the value of all items we destroyed.
I would also suggest anyone having trouble with isk should do the following. Go through every fitting you have and label them with their isk value restock price, right up at the front of the label. That way, when you are about to respawn in to a camped CRU you can look at that 50k price tag and ask yourself if you're willing to lose that much, or would that 2k suit above be a better choice.

Are you sure they're broke or are players just scamming you? I might lean toward the latter.

I'm nearing 100mil and I keep 50 copies of all my fits.
For me it's as easy as just switching to a custom MLT fit or starter fit when you feel you are about to die a lot. At times I will even role a tank just cuz I can but I make sure not to burn more than one in a single game so that I know for a fact that I'm returning to my MC with more ISK then I left with.

Try this. It works in the real world. Create an alt on a different PSN. Transfer 3/4 of your ISK to that alt, this is now your savings account. After every battle transfer an estimated 1/4 or more from that game to that alt. Learn to survive off the remainder.
Added bonus. If you ever do **** off someone with any chops that decides to hijack your main, the bulk of your wealth will be safe tucked away in your banking alt. Don't forget to enable passive SP.
