I was in Ambush and completely dominated a heavy, I finished his shields and was hacking down his armor but he was close to a supply depot and switched suits and BAM! I was dead

Standard scrub tactic. Get a FoTM (heavy/rail rifle), and stand 100m back.

What do you all think about a supply depot lock out for changing suits if you have taken fire within the last few seconds? Not sure I like the idea or not, but it is an idea.
What will be your legacy? Will you rise, or will you fall?

It's always been like that. The first few times it happens it'll make you mad but eventually it becomes something you deal with and plan accordingly for.

This has happened to me before. You can still switch suits mid fight and get full ehp again, stopped attacking guys standing on or near supply depots because of this, lead them away then engage.

I had a Breach Scrambler Pistol and got overconfident. I pretty much hunted him down unlucky for me he ran towards the Supply Depot haha. It was fun though

I say that it isn't quite an exploit. The depot is doing what its supposed to do. There is a tank team I've come across that takes them out at nulls all of the time. I can't remember who it is but I think it is super effective.
I don't think this needs to be fixed. And, yes, I do perform this at times myself. Remember that changing suits SHOULD regen armor and shields since damage isn't related to your flesh itself.
If any fix were to exist it would be that, maybe, you get the exact amount of HP you had before. For example, if I have 100 in armor and 50 in shields remaining and switch to a fit with 1000 shields and 1000 in armor then it should still be at 50 shields and 100 in armor. There can also be a full 1 sec 50% base stat reduction penalty or something but I don't really like that. |

He was saying "scrubs will be scrubs". Yes, everyone is aware of this (there's also a small window of invincibility I believe) including CCP. Look for this to be fixed in the near future.

Focus on the head (more damage dealt) than the Torso. Should kill them faster before they get a chance to switch loadouts. |

Would you zerg-rush an armor tanked heavy standing on three triage nanohives and a logi with a core rep tool hovering at his back? The supply depot is all that and more, don't go near supply depots unless they are unoccupied.

I didn't want to misunderstand him so I wanted an explanation. I have over 10 million SP and I don't consider myself a scrub.
I do use the supply depot to switch suits.
I just didnt think it was possible while under fire

Some people are that much worried about dying that they swap out continuously, well they try to anyway lol.

I have had it happen a few times.
Its not a tactic to be respected but it works and if I lose a suit to this tactic it is my fault for engaging to close to the sup dep or not imparting damage quickly enough.
Just keep your distance and circle opposite the depot to reduce his ability to take cover for that small switch time. |
