It looks like it'll probably end up being pretty balanced, what with tanky RoF assaults, damage resistant heavies and predator logis. This all looks pretty good to me. Base scan radius has been increased to 20m, base scan profile has been reduced to 35dB, more PG and CPU, improved slot loadout for modules and we now have two equipment slots. To some this may not seem like a big deal but for scouts it is. Personally, I don't think scouts are as underpowered as most say. In a build where every medium frame relies on active scanners, the ability to be invisible to all scans is huge. Plus, I feel that the scout community is one who enjoys having a handicap or being an underdog. CCP was unintentionally creating a breed of super soldiers by treating scouts with "tough love" so that when we do get significant buffs we will be unstoppable. <--- I forget who said this but I like this thought. Comparing the new stats to what we have now for example the Minmatar Scout Mk.0 will have one more low slow in addition to the extra equipment slot. Hell for that matter, all scouts seem to be getting plenty of love. 1. More hi/low slots for all suits. 2. More CPU/PG for all suits. 3. We keep the sidearm slot. 4. Two equipment slots instead of one. 5. Racial scout balanced against each other* * - Note the racial scout bonuses bring the suits in line with the design philosophy of their respective races. Caldari will have bonuses tailored towards finding other scouts. Gallente will have bonuses tailored towards evading Caldari scouts. Minmatar will be the first to arrive and hack objectives as they should and have utility. Amarr will be the ones to have endurance for long periods of sprinting and also have utility. OK, CCP.
