Let me ask you; how many times have you been in a Domination or Skirmish, your MCC armor is at 10% and theirs is at 30-40%, and you think that maybe you can turn the game around and make an awesome comeback if you can just drive out the enemy and grab that point!
You muster up your rambo skills, pull out all the stops, throw on your best suit, and proceed to wreck their faces. You got the point! Yes! Your team has rallied behind you, morale restored, and you are now putting up a significant defense.
The enemy are helpless to the stream of bullets coming out the end of your quickly overheating barrel!
But then you notice that your MCC health is still going down. You notice that at this rate, even if you keep the point held for the rest of the game, the enemy will win. What could have been en epic and satisfying comeback is destroyed by those dam MCC mounted cannons, constantly shooting at each other.
Why are these in the game!!!!!!! Once your MCC reaches the point where you will lose unless you clone the enemy, the game might as well be over. This is an un-fun, unhealthy, uncounterbale game mechanic, that provies nothing but frustration, lowering players morale.
Please CCP, remove MCC cannons so people can make epic comebacks, and actually have it matter.

if you didn't notice, there is a game timer, and a clone count, both which can end the game if a stalemate is ever even reached. Besides, the point is always hacked by someone, the game would not "stalemate". |

So you're saying, that if the game could technically never end if no-one hacks the point, and no-one kills each other. I don't care what it takes, add a dam timer to those modes. Just remove those cannons. |

Not true. All matches have a time limit of about 2 hours. In 1.6 when there was the Domination glitch where the NULL Cannon would not fire any missiles, I ended up in a 1v1 with a corp mate (we just continually hacked the point for WP's), and we stayed to see if the time limit would kick in, and we were eventually booted out after 2 hours, just sent straight back to merc quarters. By this point, both MCC's damage only inflicted by the MCC Cannons was at 0 Shield 1/2 Armor. It would be more like 2 1/2 Hours for the MCC's to destroy themselves with the Cannons. So no, its impossible. With a time limit at least, they appear to be there just to look cool and inflict very little damage.
I lose matches to those cannons all the time, when you have little MCC health left, they will kill you faster than your null cannon and MCC cannon can. |
