If you look at the new stats for the sentinels, commandos, and scouts, the Amarr variants have the most armor and the least shield, and in addition we have the most lows and the least highs. Looks like someone at CCP woke up and decided to make the Amarr match their battle philosophy from EVE once and for all.

As i see dem stats Gallente > Amarr due to the 1 Armor rep they get, so they can use a slot for other purpose, while amarr will have to use a repper to get use out of its 1.6 Rep/S bonus. Sorry to be sceptical but ive lost allot of blind faith i used to have in ccp, though it is good to see that they are adhering to the numbers of slot each suit gets and not giving one suit 9 slots while the other races protos get 6 for no reasons at all. Well it would appear that the assault and logi suits are getting new stats as well, based on the themes of these stats. And also weapon damages are decreasing as well as damage mod values. Sure right now damage > defenses, but that may not be the case in 1.8.

Err... the Gallente have the same slot layouts as us for the Commando and Scout (1/3 at PRO, or 2/4 at PRO respectively), but more lows than us on the Sentinel. Amarr do have the highest armor numbers across the board though. I agree that it seems like the suits are shifting though, and that it'll likely happen with the medium frames as well.
When I said highest, I didn't say that we couldn't be tied with anyone else. But still good catch on the Sentinel, I missed that.
