Yeah it seems 30-35 million is the standard. I'm just shy of 30 million. I don't play much after cap as I play other games too. I'd say I've probably missed about 1-1.5 million from caps since the last SP reset.

Scott Knight wrote:Assuming active playing for the last year with a passive booster and always maxing out the skill point limit each week you could easily have over 63 million skill points right now.
With active & passive boosters you make about 2.1 million SP a month just by hitting cap. 63 mill would require about 30 months so I'm not too sure about this statement. Maybe my math is bad?

Thinks about how he's been on since two weeks in from the very last character-reset*.... *Slowly raises a militia scrambler pistol to his head*BLAM!
Ahhh it's nothing! One day when D514 has had more time in the oven and all the non merc scrubs out there suddenly say "herp a derp, now I get it, I wants me sum DUST" then we will all be super mercs and a few million difference won't stop anyone from being one of the founding badasses who were wise enough to see a good thing when they see it.

I'm so going to go a lil nuts with Omega's next time they hit. In the item info it stated 30, 60 and 90 days variants.
I wanna make up for the times RL stopped me from doing what's most impotrant...
...hittin' that cap!

This, you can't let real life problems like financial issues or illness get in the way of getting 200,000 SP every week!
Oh man, this guy gets! Nothing is more important than the development of a digital avatar!

Once CCP is finished fixing all the mistakes made with Dust's early development and starts adding meaningful content and ways to interact with EVE players, then perhaps this game's population starts to get a bit of a kick. And when that happens, we all all be, as you said, the founding badasses.
Great minds think alike . I know that at PSU the community is tired of me babbling on about DUST, in fact I can actually sense rolling eyes in their posts haha but one day they will understand...if CCP follows through. It's just a bit too rough and early now. One day though, we shall look down upon these ignoramuses from our lofty lifetime SP pedastals, our mercs bursting at the seems with a multitude of battlefield proficiencies and there shall be bitter weeping and knashing of teeth as they look at the massive untrained skill tree that lays before them. Bwahaha
Rusty Shallows wrote:Last year for Fanfest they had Omega's on the market for half price. $18 for a 30 day passive. Ran them for 150 days. It covered the reduced playtime in the Summer when running a PS3 in the heat is bad. Although after they expired the withdrawals hurt. Not sure if I'd do it again. Although 48k passive SP a day is awfully close to virtual crack. Getting the shakes now.
Oh gawd...you know F2P is a psychological mindfuck. I saw a vid from Gamespot about the psychological angle of the business model. Apparently there is a part of the brain that says "no, don't spend money on this game!", a voice of reason... but actually over time this lil voice of reason becomes less and less and before you know it you have 6 months of active and passive Omega's running. It's all about wearing the resilience of this voice down until you cave. Sneaky bastards.
I think I'll get 3 months of each...I cut out the tounge of this lil voice in my brain, filled its mouth with sawdust and stiched it shut with barbed wire. I'm getting my ******* booster!
