I am pretty sure that was when they were using their own in house engine - The carbon engine. I could be wrong but I think they stopped using it because the PS3 would not handle what they wanted to do on that engine. Hence they went over to the Unreal engine.
Ive said this before and I will say it again - Just imagine what we could have had if they would have stuck to the PC and made a PC game.
The PS3 is pants, totally pants. I can only imagine what the game would be like now running on an impressive pc gaming rig. Probably would have 64 player battles with full 1080p HD. Full rendering and maxed out LoD. None of this pop in and ****.... ahhh sigh. |

Aye I believe it was, but it melted PS3s lol. I get the level of detail is different and ****, but where's my trophy room, why do we have all these rails up in the lobby? Where's the Gallente Fighter that apparently isn't done yet but is right there, in that video, from four years ago?!

Yes, it would. Anyways, the reaosn why we went over to UR3 is because the Carbon engine melted their test PS3's. We'll probably never go back to it, although we could get UR4 next, hopefully on PS4.

Or PC as well, since portability on the Unreal Engine is quite awesome. Hoping for it. |

Hopefully not. I am never buying a console again. I will stick to my pc games. I have to be honest, I only went for this because it was to do with eve. It could have been on the xbox, the Wii or anything else and I would have got that because I was fascinated with its EVE connection. |

You're the worse PC supremacist ever! YOU'D LEAVE YOUR GOD-TIER COMPUTER FOR A CONSOLE JUST FOR ONE GAME? I know people who'd spit on you >.>...and then do it again once you've stopped crying.

I couldn't finish watching those... They made me mad because they look way better than the current product, and not just graphically.
CCP! We don't care about graphics! Make the game like that instead of another lobby shooter. Please... I'm begging you. Be different like you said you were going to be.

These videos make me sad :(
They remind me of what Dust 514 could have been. I do not mean graphics, I'm talking about content and purpose.
You wanna battle / Aztec's not afraid of you / I could care less about your reputation / Even though it maybe true.

I would like to point out that the tank turret @0:23, 0:50, and 1:20 is the same one as the model on your coffee table in the merc quarters. videos as old as the 2011 E3 trailer have a different rail turret however the coffee table turret remains unchanged. it is a survivor older than any merc. the stories that coffee table tank could tell.

Dust 514 should be in new consoles or PC. I started to realize that I don't have to be cheap that I don't need to limit myself from having good graphics. So I build a PC from scratch. I wasn't disappointed, playing bf4 on pc is priceless.
I have zero knowledge about pc building. But I can understand simple instructions.
I still play Dust 514. But I spend more time playing bf4. |

What's hillarious is the fact that we don't even really have a warbarge at all anymore. Instead, it just insta-throws you into pubs unless you're playing in a PC. Honestly, if CCP couldn't make holographic images on a board appear in 4 years of development... what does that say about shanghai's ability to code and implement actual updates? |
