anyone else do better solo then with a group?

I mean here's an example of my games yesterday while in squad I shot a 37/8 with 2 orbitals in a very close game scoring 2780 points. then a 19/5 followed by 21/6 after which I left the squad and shot 19/1 27/2 24/0 29/0 36/3 and finally a 16/0 i would say maybe my first 3 games were harder but this happens every single time I join a squad. then theirs the down time between matches, people needing breaks, going to bios, refitting gear, etc. that just slows things down more then when you are playing solo.

In both cases I get more kills/WP when I'm alone. I am into discussing fits and helping people out with optimizing their performance. also it helps if he carries uplinks, I got ammo, and they got tools. having an av guy and a floater doesn't hurt either. Don't hate me because I'm dutiful.

Also, when you get in a squad everyone likes to chat and redo their fits and do whatever and I always end up getting half as many matches in. I run scout, and if I am in a squad with a bunch of assaults, or crappy scouts or logis, I feel left out. If I squad with some fellow scouts, [scouts united FTW] the most fun ever have. With corpmates, fun as well. Keep in mind I don't have a mic, so squading with people who don't read the squad chat irritates me to no end. So I have rules for squading up. 1] Never squad with randoms 2] Only squad with people that don't have a complete meltdown when they get killed 3] Squad with friends of friends, like my corpmates have lots of players that are friendly and run assault/logi class but they actually give a damn about the micless scout in they're squad 4] If they remove you from knifing/shotgunning **** em 5] If they remove you because your a scout, same as above 6] If they remove you because you qualify as a 'sniper' and not a person that hides in the redline same as above 7] If they spawn camp leave the squad 8] Most importantly, if they don't understand how to have fun in a VIDEOGAME [ same as 2] leave squad Dropship Surfer/Ninja Trust me, you don't WANT me to play COD multiplayer.

I typically get around 15-16 kills a match, although with my advanced suits I get around 19-25 kills a match, and my faction/aur protos bring in the 30s ( i don't have any proto suits). I don't have any weapon proficiency except for my pistol. most of the time I'm playing against ancient exiles, nyian spam, outer.haven Most of my kills are from their silly blueberries, though. I tend to do 'virtually' worse in a squad because my kills get distributed to my squad members with proficiency in their weapons, giving me lots of assists rather than kills, however, I tend to win much more often with a squad and higher wp overall. Omni-Soldier Few are my equal in one of these specialties, and there are none who can compare in all of them.

I agree with Viktor that when in a group it is often a competition for who gets the kills and hacks and stuff, because there are actually other people on your team who know what they're doing. I'd say I find a different type of enjoyment between running solo and in a group. Running solo I don't have to worry about anything but myself, I can blast my music, and have a lot of fun. When in a group I'll get on comms and start considering what all my squadmates are doing before making any decisions on the battlefield, you lose the carefree fun of it all, but pulling off well coordinated team maneuvers is quite a blast. This is our "matchmaking" at work, I think.

I've been playing crap lately but I do believe I run upon the same thing often. For me, it's when I'm too focused on talking and be goofy than I am about playing the game. When I'm alone, I'm more likely to do...smart things. As squad leader, it kinda balances out. People need me to communicate stuff and mark things but I'm also still in a squad with some goofballs. It's the same kinda squad that you could go 20-30/0 in but do the dumbest things. There's other factors sure, but I'm only speaking in context. The real question is do you win nearly as often when you go solo? Or do you just play for kills? If you win as much when you solo as you do with a squad you must get put on stacked teams or against completely incompetent players. Winning a Dom or Skirmish without a squad, or without the luck of Scotty, is nearly impossible. I'd rather have a better win/loss ratio than a better kill/death ratio, but that's just me.
