1. Caldari base shield regen upped to 31hp/s. Why: The assault bonus really makes this suit, and it would be a grave loss IMHO to simply remove it unless the base regen was upped to be like a 1.7 bonused assault.
2. Minmatar base shield regen upped to 26hp/s. Why: Their bonus usually brings them to 23, but I think 26 would be fair.
3. Shield extenders would change to 33/44/66, cuz basics and advanced suck
4. Armor plates would change to 66/88/132, as the CPU/PG in --> HP out is very stupid currently making basics the best option.
5. Gallente suits would get 3hp/s on armor built into the suit Why: On the suit itself, Gallente Assaults lose 5hp/s shields (now 13hp/s) and gain nothing in return. 5HP/s on armor is too powerful, so I thought 3hp/s would be good
6. Amarr would get extra base armor Why: Cuz I said so
7. Amarr would get 2hp/s on armor built into the suit Why: The filthy Minmatar get 1hp/s, so the servants of the Empress must get double!
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Unless you're also willing to buff armor repair amounts?

One of the things that makes suits more or less aggressive is how often and how quickly they can take a lot of damage and get back most of their health. This is why I think logis should be given the worst sets of shield regen and delay, but hopefully it could be tuned down just a little more for the armor logis we have now (gallente logi in particular). Well can't just remove shield HP/s on armor suits without buffing something else. I still like my shields, armor is very very slow to regenerate so I don't pop my head out until my shields are back up.
Maybe increase base armor HP? It does make sense doesn't it?

The Minmatar Logistics looks like it is losing the hacking bonus and we still don't know about the inherent armor repair. The Minmatar Assault damage mod bonus will barely have an impact, especially since you sacrifice the already weak shield tanking the suit has. No, the Minmatar suit has a hidden 5% hacking speed bonus. Not the logistics bonus.

The Caldari have the highest shield buffer and the fastest recharge and delay. The Minmatar, being the other shield tankers, have low shield buffer and longer delays. Minmatar is weak on both points while Caldari are good at both. That's messed up. My point is that the hit and run Minmatar should be easy to alpha but if you don't it should bounce right back like a scout. With the weird hybrid tanking they gave the Amarr now the Gallente can now boast the best armor buffer but they are supposed to be close range, hit and run, like the Minmatar. They should have low buffer, high speed and fast armor regen. Let the slow as molasses Amarr have a high buffer and slow regen. I think the Amarr should have today's armor repair but give the Gallente faster repair to make active shield tanking viable. This will require giving plate stacking a much higher penalty but maybe give the Amarr a reduction to that penalty. Minmatar/Caldari - Offensive Amarr/Gallente - Defensive
Hit and run doesn't really work in a defensive role.

The Amarr and Caldari are traditionally the long range, defensively oriented races and the Minmatar and Gallente are the in your face, offensively oriented races. I think you are seeing the Gallente as defensive because they can heavily stack their suits. If you look at the frontline rifles as defining the doctrine for each race the Caldari have the long range RR and the Gallente have the short range AR which would also suggest that you have them in the wrong category. Currently, the only way the Minmatar can be competitive is through profile dampening and covertly killing. They have the weakest defenses and inherent recovery. Either that or I just throw clones at the problem until one of us wins. That's EVE, in Dust Armor and Shields have their roles. Defensive and offensive.

Just to clear something up though, I would love to have hit and run on my Gallente assault, however it just isn't viable right now.
Armor reps are **** slow, and ferroscale plates cost far too much CPU/PG. Gallente Assault would need bonuses to both to have a decent hit and run fit.
