Guys, lay off. Some people do not speak English natively and some are just bad. Just because his English is somewhat lacking does not invalidate his argument.

Personally, I do not feel that Dropships are unbalanced versus infantry: Forge Guns of all stripes are extremely dangerous to even a skilled pilot; Swarm Launchers are exceptionally dangerous to an unhardened 'ship, while to a hardened 'ship they have more than enough impact to throw it about wildly even potentially throwing it into another object or otherwise causing the pilot to lose control; Plasma Cannons are just generally terrible...; Mass Drivers, Flaylock Pistols and Grenades can all cause some impact movement, though these are a lot less effective than true AV weapons.

That being said, more Heavy Weapons will come out and a dedicated anti-air/flak weapon would not be entirely remiss.

One thing that should change in the Infantry vs. Dropship balance is the lack of cover. If a tank is around, I can duck behind hills or pillars to avoid being spotted or to evade their attacks. If a dropship is around, I have to hope they do not see me and decide to attack because I have no effective method of hiding or evading their attacks.

This is more a problem of map design and Dust being unable to handle a large number of objects than with the dropships themselves though.

I've seen infantry run to cover while I'm detonating their friends from the sky, and a lot of people are actually pretty good at avoiding me, just keep trying to run under the dropships so he has to maneuver around to try to get you, and then run away under a structure, etc. It's especially easy to get away if you're in a city.

As I said, the problem is the lack of cover. The outposts usually have plenty of cover. However, many maps have much, much more open area. If a ground vehicle is near me while traversing between two points, I can duck behind hills and such. If a dropship is near me while traversing between two points, I am at their mercy. It doesn't matter how well I dodge their attacks, they have a very wide area they can easily follow and shoot.

It doesn't even need to be solid structures. Objects like trees that obscure the pilot's view but don't stop attacks or trenches that make hitting infantry more difficult but also lock the infantry into a set path would do wonders.
