Heavies with light weapons as their primary. Yes you guessed it. # Grins #
Personally I think it is a creative part of DUST. I don't want to see it removed or anything however I can't help but notice that a lot more people are running around on the battlefield with this type of setup now.
What does it mean? To me it means that speed is a non-factor so much now. Also it says to me max HP is king. (Or at least people think that way).
I was curious if others have noticed this strange but oh so EVE-like turn of events? P.S - I realise people have done this since forever, I just think it is only now that I am seeing squads of light gunner heavies with logis. A viable tactic it seems. |

I have to say I agree with you guys above me.
I see the logic but I also see how restrictive the heavy suit is for movement. However I don't get any aim assist using the KB/M so I guess I cannot use the Heavy with a light weapon to full effect.
It is interesting to note that you have all noticed the increase in heavies with light weapons too. hummmm. |

but hey, what can you expect? they only have 2 "heavy" weapons, and i think that anybody would get bored if they were restricted to 2 guns. The problem is that most of these Heavy suit Light Weapon scrubs are not real heavies, they just use it so they can be relevant with a **** ton of HP
You hit the nail on the head. I don't have a problem at all with this I just think it signifies that something is up. If you catch my drift.
I especially notice LAV drivers using the heavy suit and jumping out right next to you with either the HMG or jumping out at range using a RR or what ever other rifle of choice. |

Sorry to keep posting like this - however that is something else I have noticed as of late. Scouts with rifles. Its a strange thing but I can totally understand why they do this now.
Back in chromosome it was all about the shotgun however I see the SG has kinda' fallen out of favour with most scouts. |

Just like how I interpreted heavy-carting LAVs in the past as a sign that small turrets are under-performing. But dem Cycled Missile Launcher doe. On a Limbus with a Wavelength Active Scanner, 2 Carapace Hardeners, an F/45, and an Efficient Repper. I miss that Limbus
I too miss the logistics LAV`s. I actually used it to repair people and other tanks. I even managed to repair a few mercs shields in firefights with the Caldari LLAV. THAT was fun even if those situations were so few and far between.
I know this is well off topic but what is to happen to LLAV`s? |
