If you kill a Light suit with 300 total hp, which is easy, you get 50 points. If you bring down a Heavy, with 1400 total hp (to start), you get 50 points, but of course it's much more difficult to do so.
I think killing a Light suit should net 25 pts, a Medium 50, and a Heavy 75.
Tanks, now that they're so buffed, should be more than 150, should be 350 at least since it's likely only taken down by a group (or another very buffed tank). With 1.7, the risk/reward for going after a tank is just not there if you're an infantry player. Seems like all I can do is chase a tank off for a while, which nets zero points, at a high risk of being killed by tank or red team infantry who see your position by virtue of the swarms.

I agree the WP for vehicle kills needs to be increased but I don't think there should be any difference for the various suits. I'm looking at it from the point of view that every time you die you are in fact helping out the enemy team by contributing to them getting an OB (warbarge strike whatever you want to call it) in addition to reducing your teams clone count.
Me losing a heavy suit shouldn't be more of a detriment to my team than losing an assault or scout suit. Mainly because when I'm running the heavy I'm running AV and it is very, very easy to die. So having forge gunners getting killed is going to result in tanks as well as more OB's.

Of Course that's not always the case. If a scout is caught in a straight up gun fight, of course they will lose, however, if the scout is in a straight up gun fight, they've already screwed up (not stealthy enough to get the drop on the enemy). Similarly, a heavy is at times a much better suit than a medium (CQC anyone), however, the medium might be just as important, if not more important to the win (rep tool, spawn points, scanner, etc.) so it would be too cookie cutter to have seperate points for suits.
With the way tanks and AV are atm, I wouldn't mind a slight buff to points for tank kills (say make it +200 rather than +150). |
