Well, given what was given to vehicles and the result of that, I'm going to be one who will help "fan the flames" here in the forums if there's not at least a dropsuit tree respec. I didn't invest millions of sp into hives and uplinks and damage mods to have them become unusable/unsuitable.

I don't really expect a weapon respec. Would be nice to get one but I don't see one. However, when it comes to dropsuit command and even dropsuit upgrades (particularly when CCP is going to completely alter pg/cpu base suit values, equipment slots, and module slots and maybe even modules themselves, that's a whole different story. What I put SP into was already established and that itself is being changed overall, from the mods maybe themselves to the skills themselves. When RR and CR were put in, it was an addition. Very little or nothing changed about current weapons and the skills related to them certainly didn't.

And now that I think about it, how is CCP even going to get around this one? If what has been going around is indeed true and they reduce the amount of SP required or change skill requirements for getting into racial role suits, what is going to happen to the extra SP we all have invested? For example, for Gallilogi, have to have level 3 Gallente Medium Suits and then another level 5 for Gallilogi proto. What's going to happen to that level 3 sp requirement, or if they drop the SP multiplier for logi suits? Just going to disappear and oh well, SOL for you?

Rynoceros wrote:The last 2 respecs came after SP events, after everyone said "Never." and "No.", after less significant (though still significant in their own) changes were made to the skill tree. Those 2.5 million SP sinks called Proto dropsuits represent months of unboosted grinding and greatly dictate who fights for what faction. You can't have a level playing field in FW, if a lot of players were "forced" into another race to play a particular role. Those specialty dropsuits are bolstered by equipment, handpicked by each player to best utilize their fitting(s). If the bonuses which affect the equipment choices and weaponry are changed then a player could potentially have wasted 6 months or more of their game time (not mentioning moneys spent on SP Boosters) on one type of build, only to have it all made null because the Devs and Producers hadn't committed to their path.
That's my sentiment exactly, the equipment and suit itself I once used in order to help propel my team on the frontline would no longer function in the way originally intended.

A respec followed by everyone and their dog having cheap entry into HAVs? Well, ok... Let us have a _RESPEC_, one where everyone gets a cheap entry into all the proto versions of the new dropsuits for the price of milita gear. Not to be mean, but this doesn't even come close to making sense. If you're upset that you have to share the field with more HAV pilots that haven't accumulated as many SP in HAVs as you have then just say so. Not really sure what this has to do with your respec though. According to your logic you should have skipped putting any SP into HAVs this time around, which should make you thankful for the changes and give you more viability as infantry when needed.
That's what I thought, that technically he has the advantage currently in SP savings, that militia tanks can currently compete and take out standard tanks and make a big presence on battlefields. I can understand his frustration over being taken out by those tanks however and wanting more SP requirements for better vehicle performance and power.
