Hello everyone! So I decided to bring some surprise fun into Dust 514 for the community. I will be hosting a STREAMED 1v1 Heavy HMG single elimination (best of 3) Thunder dome tournament.
WHATAGUYGÇÖS Heavies Gone Wild: Hilf Edition Date/Time: Mid February GÇô ETA UNKNOWN (~15th) -Entry fee: 20mil isk (15 mil isk refunded after completion of Tourney) Will be live streamed on Twitch. Tourney Champion will be rewarded a $20 PSN card. (PlayerGÇÖs region locked away from this have opt for ISK reward) Tourney runner-up will be rewarded 150mil ISK.
***depending on number of participants, loserGÇÖs bracket may be formed***
However, this is not going to be your same olGÇÖ terrible T-dome which is normally a bust. Previous T-Domes have almost been a waste of time and is tend to be filled with people/trolls who canGÇÖt keep their mouth closed for more than 3 seconds or suck the fun out of it with TKs and nade spamming.
For this tourney I have decided to add some MORON insurance. Whoever is interested in participating will pay tournament entry fees (15-20mil isk) in order to compete. ISK will be refunded back to the players who complete the tourney without too many disruptions.
In addition to this insurance, a couple of rent-a-cop LogiGÇÖs will be brought in. Whoever decides that trolling is more important than good competitive sport amongst the community will be trolled back. The tourney will be on a time constraint as a T-DOME can only last about 45-50mins.
Tourney will be a best of 3 match-up. Shooting for a Cargo hub, 2nd choice is Production. Map layout is not confirmed yet. At this time IGÇÖm currently allowing ANY HMG build you want to bring to the table. Round 1: Short ranged combat (1-15m) Round 2: Long ranged combat (20m+) Round 3: either a coin flip for long/short combat or an arena set-up style (Depending on time & amount of participants)
Furthermore there will be a couple rules and regulations: 1.)This tourney will be run on a three strike system. People may be warned twice before being disqualified, forfeiting your ISK deposit for tourney, and removed from comms. Here are a few things that will get you a warning a.Cluttering the Comms consistently b.Remaining AFK when your match-up is starting c.TKs and/or trying to justify you killing someone because they shot or killed you. 2.)The T-DOME chat channel (info with entry fee payment) will be moderated and will boot frequent open comms, disqualified players, and potentially, players who are eliminated from tourney if they are not adding anything beneficial for tournament entertainment. a.PlayerGÇÖs outside of tournament will not be able to reside in channel to help avoid more comm clutter. However, voices will be up on stream so you can listen in.

Well this is something definitely true, I mostly wanted to see how many people would be interested. If this goes smooth and successful, there will be more events I plan to bring forward.

You will be missed bro, was hoping most of the best heavies will be there! =) I wouldn't look at it this as legit tourney but some competitive fun I wish to share with others!
Jin no kami wrote:For thunderdome do you guys play on same team or make a chat room so yall can talk shyt to each other =ƒÖê=ƒÖë=ƒÖè=ƒÖï
Plan is to have a EVE moderated Chat channel so that everyone on both sides can speak with each other. However, having 20+ active mics in a channel can create quite the comm clutter. This is why there are a few rules in place to help contain the madness.
JL3ELEVEN - Noted your contribution. Great idea! Last place has their fees covered and come up 5mil ahead.
To interested participants please hold your ISK until a week before the event once I get a solid date/time. I'm still shooting for the 15th as it is a Saturday and not everyone can be available on weekdays.
At the end of the week I'll compile a list of interested participants and will continue to do weekly so I can give out the bracket layout as early as possible. Ideal number I'm looking for is 16 participants, as I would like to get it finished in the duration of 1 PC match. If there's more than this another PC match can/will be set-up! =D
Thank you guys for showing interest in this event and feel free to ask any questions! |
