Why don't you consider this.....
Make it a mandatory requirement to fill each equipment slot on a logistics suit, or else the fitting will become invalid.
Also with that being said, another mandatory requirement should be to match the tier of equipment with the same tier of suit or higher.
For example if your wearing an ADV logi, you would need at least one ADV or Proto piece of equipment. Proto suits would need 1 proto equipment, etc. etc..
A slayer is going to slay no matter what, does it really matter which suit they are wearing? Removing slots from logistics will just drive these people back to assault or whatever the flavour of the month happens to be. In the end you're really just punishing the real logibros & sistas.

I believe CCP should stay away from as many arbitrary restrictions as possible. Choice, learning, and consequences are key qualities in New Eden.

Don't think so. They should have reduced CPU / PG, but also a small bonus on equipment fitting.

How would you feel if someone who never played as an assault suggested something similar?
I would think 'what an idiot' like i am right now.
Sure remove slots,but remember that the next time you need ammo/reps/rez (support) and you don't get it,it's because your life isn't worth sacrificing ours for.
I've died many times as a true logi trying to save assaults like you,and this is your response 'cut their foot off they'll be fine with just one'. |

and ive died many times to logis, who could out tank,gank, and wp farm than any assault suit

I think logis should get a 10% bonus to damage, range, and rate of fire per level to light weapons. Seems only fair. Also maybe an inherent 90% resistance to damage ( kinda like a tank) to make up for the fact that they only have 1-2 slots more than assaults and lack a sidearm. This way, they are still better slayers than assaults.
Just kidding, I like the idea of logis being forced to fill up all of there equipment slots...would help at least a little bit with their slaying capabilities
