Not a single game hasn't had at least 2 tanks in it.
Not a single one, not even a game with a single tank, always at least 2, that includes the few times it was 1v1 tank battles. But excludes my tank.

Until Prices are raised and **** players can't spam their tanks to win. I watched the same guy call in 6 tanks in a single match and lose them, before 1.7 that would **** your wallet over immensely, now it's quite meaningless.

This is what happens when tanks get buffed, price cuts, and AV gets nerfed.
If AV grenades returned to their pre 1.7 damage levels and vehicles were allowed only one hardener to prevent hardener cycling, this would help quite a bit in terms of reducing tank spam.

I mean, I made myself a militia fit 0 SP Soma for 69k ISK that can place me near the top of the leaderboard, lose it, and still earn a nice profit. The only skills I had affecting me were my two level fives for cooldown reduction and active time increase.

I've only played ambush twice since 1.7 and both of those matches were against Nayan Chan squad and the usual that goes along with it ... So i didn't expect to see this post from you.
But tanks in general right now are far too superior compared to AV |

Actually, I've only got one two hardener setup and that's purely for dealing with tanks. Also, you can **** right off mate, unless AV Grenades cost 50k+, we have a lot lower HP now and it was easy enough for nade scrubs to 3 shot any vehicle. ******* Nade 514, want to buff locus grenades too?

True. nades were OP then, compared to the Tanks. 3 lai dais would be bad for anyone. So AV nades, it's in a good place now.
Tanks vs AV (swarms and such) and the speed of the tank and nerf on Swarms, well that's what is causing all these drama

I started using a 72K pure militia blaster soma (I have zero SP into tanks) to counter enemy tanks. It has no hardeners just 2 militia reppers when I see a guy throwing AV grenades at me I just back away then kill him It takes a minimum of 5 Lai Dias to destroy my pure militia tank. I go after enemy tanks activate my militia damage mod to weaken them and right before they destroy my tank (only happens if its a maddy with a hardener or a rail tank) I jump out and finish them with Lai dais.
I once destroyed a gunnlogi with only lai dais it was the dumbest tanker I've ever seen but I went through 2 STD nanohives and 1 compact nanohive. He rolled up on me I had a barricade I was able to use as cover I got my nanohive down started chucking Lai Dais, he hit his hardener then my nanohive ran dry so threw down another and it went dry so I threw down my compact nanohive and after 11-12 lai dais he was destroyed.
If you think AV grenades are OP then you're just a **** tanker who doesn't know how to react and lets infantry just walk up to him.

Mate some people have enough isk to not worry. Some people MAKE a ton more than that every day from PC matches or their districts.
The price drop of tanks is a small part of the problem. It is the way the game is just carry on. |

the base hp of the current mlt armor tanks is about the same hp level of my fitted 200k isk soma was before this update.
it was fitted this way though. std blaster. 2 60m nanofiber plates a passive resist. light shield booster and shield passive resist and mlt heavy armor repper.
so i had a base resistance on shields and armor of about 20%.
4012 armor. and the 800 shields. but combined with that shield booster and how much it repped. if the hp from that was added onto my tank it would pretty much have the same hp of are current tanks.
i could take down most mlt tanks rather easily. but i couldnt actually combat any type of std tank.unless i had some av with me.
the cycled hardeners r a problem in some sorts. if u activated one hardener and then all activated at the same time that could work. but it should slow the tank down allowing av to get into a position to destroy it.
i dont feel like tanks got a buff in over all speeds it mostly feels like the acceleration was changed a bit.
now fuel injectors r probably what makes alot of those tanks seem extremely fast.
now currently with tanks. it takes a double damage modded sica to combat an extremely hardened tank. which is why certain ppl r complaining about mlt glass cannons being op. its because they lost a tank to one or a random rail installation.
im still able to solo av most mlt havs rather easily when using some tactics/smart thinking. cant actually kill std tanks with my adv swarms and std av nades. thats what the glass cannon is for.
now in 1.6 av nades alone were op.
now it takes around 3 std av nades and a few swarms to kill most mlt vehicles. a change i welcome for once.
those old solo av tactics dont work like god mode anymore. need to using some new actual tactics/ coordination. but they r still killable.
the std tanks currently r 30-40% better than mlt tanks. the advantage they have over them. more slots. pg/cpu. and obviously a lot more sp invested into them.
u cant hardly fit much of anything with a 0sp invested mlt hav.
your either sacrificing tankabillity for offensive power or power for defense.
cant really get both. but at the same time std tanks have more fitting options than mlt and have better fits opened up for them. sure they can make even more powerful glass cannons. and they can even make much more tougher tanks. or make or they could fit 2 dmg mods and a shield hardener on a gunlogi. so its not much of a glass cannon any more and has some decent tank. they dont have to sacrifice as much as 0sp invested mlt tank pilots do. and yet they seem to be the ones complaining?
if a player lost 6 fitted mlt havs in a match i can guarantee they lost alot of isk in the match. if unfitted they still probably lost a good amount of isk. unless they managed to make alot of isk in the match lets say 300k or so isk. and that doesnt happen often in alot of the matches i play. if they want to spam tanks let them. just grab a a missile or rail turret and destroy them. or grab a mlt dropship and get a decent pilot and gunner and kill them that way. theres several ways to counter it. get out of that mentality of. (OH NO! THEY PULLED OUT A WEAK UNFITTED MLT VEHICLE! WE'RE ALL DOOMED RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!)...
thats pretty much how ppl act like these days.
reminds me of the day i made my 1st jihad jeep fit to test out. joined a random squad full of the generals. there were a few missile gunlogis and other tanks on the enemy team. i took out all the tanks early on in that match. and i heard the squad all crying about a tank they didnt even die too. they redlined the enemy that match. all with high kdrs and such. i just left after that. it was annoying. |
