And not a fixed amount? Say 80% cpu/pg consumption. Then the scouts gain bonuses that dramatically reduce that percentage?

Well, I believe the concept was "Scout suits can fit them along with their normal fitting. Other suits will have hard choices to make if they want Cloaking Technology."

So... it would take a **** ton of CPU/PG to equip and it would then take a ton of CPU/PG away? That seems over kill. A high fitting cost and a sensible fitting bonus is all it needs. That fitting cost and bonus needs to be balanced with the logi's equipment bonus and pg/cpu in mind. That's all.

I hope that CCP decides to deploy more than one light frame. I hate seeing light frames forced into this whole cloak thing. I am not looking forward to another suit with a bonus that is useless half the time. While I am at it, making the cloak so resource intensive that only a scout can use it is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Way to F up another perfect opportunity to add something fun to the game.

Scouts shouldn't be forced to cloak and other suits shouldn't be prevented.
It's role limiting to force cloaking on all scouts, and it also eliminates variety if you totally gimp any other suit that wants to fit it.
A Logi might want to run a cloaked medic or a cloaked uplink suit. I could actually be induced to use a proto Logi suit if I figured it wasn't going to be shot up in 0.1 seconds. I could probably fit a cloak and a couple DUs if I sacrificed both tank and gank. Is that such a bad thing? |

I don't think this is necessary. It should be more than enough that a scout gets at least an 80% bonus to the reduction of CPU/PG usage by the cloak compared to the 25% bonus that logis get for general equipment.

A base cloak should easily fit on any suit we want but come with heavy drawbacks like 50% reduction in speed, high recloak times, long (3-4 seconds) times before being able to hack or shoot and the loss of a slot. Have the light frames change the drawbacks with some bonuses but don't limit every other suit in the game. That is just borked.

No...
Meaning scouts won't get scanned while cloaked. A medium frame will be easily scanned making the cloak moot.
