I started playing in beta. I also monetized... quite a bit. At the time, there was only one Assault (C), one Logistics (M), one Scout (G), and one Heavy (A). Because of this, I bought the Sever Logistics Suit and the Raven Assault Suit. I don't regret my purchase at all with the Raven because I like Caldari (Heth is innocent, death to the Federation, Leviathan: Never Forget, Never Forgive) and skilled into it. The problem is I have a Sever suit that has no use to me.
Along with my Dragonfly Scout Suits and my Toxins, will my Sever simply rot?

I see them being more of a expensive collectible item since they are no longer made and they will be pretty rare as new players join the game and can't acquire them(expect by buying them from older players for a large ISK amount) and old players drop off and keep the BPO's in there inventory without selling them. Both of these will drive the price up in the open market.

I submitted a ticket after Uprising released for a AUR refund. My reason was for the new skill requirements so your milage may vary.
Honestly, I'd hold on to them for the market because they're probably going to be very valuable.

I was able to send in a support ticket and get my SEVER Logistics BPO refunded in Aurum, but this was back at the launch of Uprising when they were refunding all Aurum purchases except BPOs. It had to do with inconsistent pricing of these BPOs, but CCP was able to look and see that the SEVER Logsitics BPO I bought was at the most recent pricing.
So I mean, there is a long shot you may be able to do the same, but it's really late now so I doubt it. Also it seems CCP wants to remove BPOs all together so they'll probably take it away from you whether you like it or not and give you something in exchange. This is all speculation.

Same here.
I have the 'Dragonfly' Assault and 'Sever' Logi, but they won't be worth my SP investment after the inevitable respec with 1.8
My 'Toxin' AR & SMG will always be valuable, but may soon be so under classed by my other assets that not selling them may be foolish.

I only bought the Sever suit because of its fancy camouflage print it has and will hang onto it until the end of time.

I have lots of BPO's problem is I'm a collector, the only thing I'd give up would be a "toxin" SMG, and only if I got another BPO in return, with maybe a little isk to make up the difference. (I'm looking at you, Sver logi and dragonfly scout)
P.S. the Sver Min logi is std, right?

Im a team player and want to support my teammates as much as possible, which is very easy to do in a logistics. If you slap on some drop uplink, nanite injector and nanohive bpos, you'll be able to give support and earn a buttload of points without losing isk +Ñt all. |

If you take what eve has done into account, in theory your 'BPO' will be able to produce copies, which you should then be able to sell on a player market. So your current BPO might be VERY valuable to you over time. If you can make copies for people to use said suit and sell them in contracts or on the market at will. |

That or the whole locking BPOs to accounts that was mentioned as a possibility. If there is an internal decision they are keeping it quiet.

Can't agree more. To bad I bought a militia light damage modifier instead of getting more aurum and getting a militia nanohive.
Got the Mitlita repair tool and nanite injector though. Along with the militia armour and armour rep, these are some of the most useful BPO's I have. |
