It's because a minmitar scout with 2 complex kin kats is almost as fast as Usain Bolt who is heavier, taller, and uses no preformance enhancing drugs. And to think we are thousands of years into the future. |

Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

But we are thousands of years into future and still slower than a human... Total sense. Btw what armor do you speak of? It's instant death if spotted and carries nova knifes and im pretty sure every single bullet in the game goes right through the suit into the heart. |

No, he isn't wearing POWERED armour that not only supports its own weight but supplements the user's strength and speed.
He also isn't a custom-built clone designed to move and react faster than a normal human. |

I'm pretty sure that in a few thousand years wars will look nothing like they're portrayed in DUST, or any other sci-fi shooter. That is, if we're still stupid enough to wage wars then. Anyway, don't expect too much sense from techno-babble used to explain how DUST tech works. It's only lore written with intention to provide better immersion into the game world, and shouldn't be taken as scientifically grounded, nor (even theoretically) feasible technology.
DUST, just like all other sci-fi shooters, is just a present-day warfare emulator, in which guns look somewhat odd, and instead of "bang-bang", go "pew-pew" when fired. Plus maybe a few cool, but questionably feasible gadgets.

And while we are at it, thousands and thousands of years in the future and they havn't thought of enclosed spaces for LAVs, enviromentally sealed dropships, shields that don't seem to protect the driver and passengers and tanks that have the uphill torque of a broken robin reliant

Actually that's certainely because you're wearing an armor. Not an exoskeleton.
I don't think usain bolt can survive a plasma bullet.
The body health in the game (see the stats) is 10 hp.
The armor is waym ore useful than speed.

The suit we are wearing is supposed to enhance our endurance and speed.
Makes me wonder how slow Scouts would be without it.
