It would be as easy as having game mode filters. You could have 64vs.64 matches on the PS4 and the smaller one on the PS3. This is one example. Graphics are very important in a modern day shooters, it is one of the biggest key points. The other is FPS, and loading time, or not having any loading time. It takes me around 30 seconds from starting BF4 till run and gun in a multiplayer battle. Technically it would be even possible to have PS3 and PS4 players in one match, the PS3 users just couldnGÇÖt join a 64vs64 battle for example. I used Amazon (com, de, co.uk) selling scores and different PS3 and ego shooters wikis. My EVE pilot have more ISK then your peon corp.

Like your PC can tell you that you should stay to the 10vs10 BF4 mods and not bothering the 64vs64, like your phone can tell you to go the **** of with certain models due to hardware limitations.
