The CPM approves this message.
Most people who understand what it is and know what good it could do approve this message. True Adamance approves Tiercide on behalf of the Amarr Empire. As for your sig: Kelly's Heroes. You are 3 weeks to late for the ISK prize.... now I'm broke....but you could give me ISK....? There should be a charge not a prise. This is stupid and I don't understand the point of it. Where will the game go with all suits and weapons available to everyone at any time. Time invested should mean something, SP place meant should mean something. This is junk and hurts the game.
You, sir, are wrong in every conceivable way a human being can possibly be wrong.
Now that that's out of the way, it's not a matter of "EVERYTHING INSTANTLY AVAILABLE!!!" SP would actually mean more because there would be a greater diversity to specialization between players as opposed to "Dump ALL SP into Proto Wep/Shield/Armor" which is the standard fare currently and is the current First Order Optimal Solution. Absolutely NOTHING else matters which is why this is a glorified lobby shooter with, in all actuality, only Team Deathmatch as the available option. There are no tactics because nothing matters beyond ability to murder the opposition.
We're talking about a greater diversity of suits and skills which means greater number of options for players beyond "Go hunt kill". You want a game with tactics, then allow players to be stronger in more than just killing, instead of making 'bullet to face' the be-all end-all solution. |

what you guys are asking for won't ever happen. what will happen is you'll qq enough that the price of a proto suit will be too expensive to use regularly.
Excellent display of a failure in reading ability or comprehension. Just a few posts above yours I broke it down plain and simple. |

And one post above yours is the real problem that tiericide won't fix.
'Matchmaker matchmaker make me a match'
Wholly unnecessary to devote excess programming time to save for the coding work to even out Squad Vs Random. No more need to worry about divisions between Proto and the Stomped. I'll give you that work needs to be done to sort out the drops so that it's not entirely loners against a full team from a singular corp, but beyond that it becomes unnecessary with greater role diversity. |

Yes why would we want a Sandbox Matchmaking system in a sandbox galaxy where players could choose their own level of risk vs reward. Specially when we can have an automated matchmaking system... and could completely rework the entire way the suits work... Creating giant cookie cutter fits at different stages and absolutely no variation based upon effort and skill... At some point making DUST "Easy" is not gonna be a solution you can turn to anymore when another mass exodus happens. If this does happen.... people just don't know what they are asking for.. Bye Bye DUST as we ever knew it. Welcome a game already done 10 times over already.
A sandbox is the ultimate goal but for the moment that seems to be an impossibly Herculean task for our poor developers. Currently there is no sandbox, just a lobby shooter. So until that time make the best of what we have. |

On a side note fix the match making and all will be well not this tierside Junk. Dust needs a lot of things done before that is ever considered.
Matchmaking because **** sandbox? |

More content before sandbox, hell get the dam market running before tierside bullcrap first. Priorities people! Bring out pve/pvpve first for better income.

I disagree. If they allow more options to be open to the players, then tactics and such can improve the quality of life, as well as giving meaning to many of the things that one might find on the eventual marketplace, causing the economic action of supply and demand to start working on a larger area (Right now, the only 'good' selling items would be Wep/Shield/Armor/Damage mods). It would also make the fights in FW simultaneously more interesting and involved. |

Miokai Zahou wrote: We need market pvp.
Again, fighting over the prices of.....what? Proto mods? Those mostly once again being only Weapon Shield Armor and Damage?
Newbies come in now, get destroyed 45 times and learn nothing.
Newbies in Eve grab a frigate specialized for what they think would be neat and rock out and, even when they get destroyed, they still go right back and do it again because they enjoyed what they were doing. Along the way, they learned why they got blasted and adjust for it.
You want PVE? So what are you going to do with the stuff that you pick up that is not one of the desired mods? Because, you know no one is going to buy them if they aren't one of the four (save for edge cases).
Lets assume the market opens. People decide to try something different because the mods are cheap. They get destroyed because this is currently a binary game where raw damage wins all.
Now, add specialization in. They may not kill that Vet, but if they can keep him tied down and his teammates demolish him..Newb then feels accomplished, even if the vet destroyed him in the process. He contributed. Now, it doesn't matter that he went 0/45, he's found a role that works and can specialize further in it, or try something else. |

boba's fetta wrote:i personally do not think it will help. i think lower endd players need to be seperated from the protostompers. pve is the way to go along with banning proto gear in high sec fights. though the proto users need a place they can play with there toys and sadly pc/faction just isnt it atm.
and honestly why bother giving the lower end suits more slots that new players wont be able to fill anyway. and its not going to stop the higher sp toons piling whatever high end gear they can on cheaper suits.
i think all this is going to do is delay the release of new content. i see you all screaming about why havnt the fan fest promises been kept? could it be because every damm thing is being rebalanced over and over again so there is no time for more new content.
let ccp make the game then add the polish.
Once again reading comprehension seems to be failing.
We're talking about adding content, removing the proto-stomping, and making the game overall more fun for all involved, as it should have been from the beginning. Please re-read the thread. |

/me goes off to draw. I've read it and I know what it is about and I still do not support it as it will take time and effort off the devs when they should be focusing on what should have been placed in dust upon release. Let them finish the foundation before building the house then I will go with the flow not before.
We'll have to agree to disagree. I feel that this is somewhat important as player agency should be built in to the 'foundation' but, clearly you feel differently. |
