Yes I know why he fitted 2x knives seeing as the the character model in the fitting screen would be holding the ranged weapon if fitted and wouldn't be showing off holding the knives.

Using melee to get your kills counterproductive to fitting Nova Knives if thats the case.....
With 3x Complex Sidearm Damage Modifiers and using advanced knives (to do any worthy damage) you'll be getting a 26.38% bonus to damage; which when applied to the advanced knova knives increases their damage by 39.57 to a total of 190. - Seeing as you have 2 knives, when you tap R1 your character actually swipes with both knives making that damage output to 380 instead on a charged shot which gives an extra x2 increase in damage making that 760 per charged shot!

380 is base damage without any proficiency skills or the bonuses the Minmatar Scout gives and IGÇÖm sure you can do the math here.

Yeah, I'm not using the Knives at all, they're just for a laugh, nor am I using the REs. I just switch to the REs and drop all of them on the ground so it looks like I'm running around without a weapon. I was at Hand To Hand Level 3 when I took these, at H2H Level 5 I'll easily get over 400 Damage. As for how I've done so far, I managed to kill one severly injured Proto Gallogi (~300 HP), and an MLT suit (Full health) with one punch, before running out of modules. I'm considering swapping out the Regulator for a Kinetic Cat though, because without it, my Stamina regens fully before I can swipe again.
