I was just in a match where 3 griefers suicided away 75 (half) of total clones... This was in a pub Dom. I propose
Suicide should not cause a loss of clone unless damage is dealt directly to the clone by an enemy player within 30 seconds at which point clone loss is validated. |

AWOXing has always been a legitimate tactical option. Betraying your side isn't cheating, in game terms, even if it's a decidedly rotten move. The EVE metagame has always included methods like this, and in the end it takes away from the realism and freedom of the universe if players are forced to play fair and honest.
Death is a learning experience. I just wish I wasn't such a slow learner. >.<

We aren't talking PC or Faction Warfare, but public matches. It makes no sense to have something similar to this in public matches... Even for those of you interested in lore or RP, it is unjustifiable in public matches. |

That's a vaild point, and I think it points to a bigger issue. Right now, we only have three game types, and they're all PvP. There's little distinction (aside from friendly fire) between hi-, lo-, and nullsec matches.
If/when we get more play options, so that we have PvE, we have real benefits and consequences to choosing a side in FW, we have real benefits and consequences for fighting lo- or nullsec matches, then I think a lot of the problems with Pub matches will be solved.
In other words, we need to be more like EVE, not less. AWOXing and simliar tactics in hisec matches (Pub matches) would then have real and painful consequences.

There should be limits to how many times someone can suicide in a certain amount of time, yeah "some" griefing is promoted but it should not be allowed to hinder a team from winning due to lack of penalties. If 3 people on your own team can effectively keep the rest of the time from being able to win without any penalty to them and remain untouchable for the entire match something is wrong. This isn't EVE, its a shooter game, some things that may have slipped by in EVE will not work here. The welcome to New Eden mentality will only go so far before people decide they had enough. People try to bring it over but it will fail.

Currently the problem lies here: pub matches can be ruined by a small squad of people in frontline suits continuously suiciding in their redline with 0 cost to themselves, and while doing it, earning isk (albeit, a little bit). I would not find joy in being on the other of this because it would feel like an empty victory. |

A compromise: Suicides count as teamkills. You are killing a member of your team, after all.

I don't justify the bullshit; I just propose a remedy.
Look at the teams before you spawn. Don't spawn anything you think you might miss.
If you're too butthurt: quit. Don't feel bad; I do too.
This game sucks. You aren't alone in thinking so (until you are...). |

You're telling me you opened a web browser and typed about 60 words 5 different times in support of this because you are losing in pub matches?
Why in god's name are you worried or concerned about pub matches? What in the world are you getting out of pubs? You get money if you win or lose. Sure you get money if you win, but you also get money and SP if you lose. If anything they match went faster(A LOT FASTER) because someone AWOXed you. How long does a match usually last? This time you got almost the same amount of SP and ISK in about half the time. You should be thanking them.
