Before 1.7 faction warfare started, people were all "nowaydude penalties are way too harsh".
However, now that we've played it a while... it seems like in some areas, they are too lenient
There is rampant AWOXing going on. We arent given sufficient means to really do enough about it.
Yes, I know, people are allowed to do it if they choose, part of the game, etc, etc. However, the target side, should have some means to defend itself against that tactic, too.
I propose the following:
Since the "punish" button is rarely even noticed... if someone deliberately chooses to use it, there is something seriously wrong going on with the recipient.
If a player has been "punished" twice in a match, they should be immediately ejected, and banned for a WEEK. Not the pathetic "until reset". Because some people gleefully and deliberately choose to do that sort of thing right before reset, so effectively they have zero penalty.
Please note that I am suggesting this change, only for players who have had the 'punish' option invoked against them by a human. I am NOT suggesting any change to the auto-damage-limit triggered thing at this time. |

I'm not sure how that really is "harsher"; these guys are doing it in starter fits. They lose nothing that way.

Presently, even if you get the chance to kill someone TKing you they get to punish you. You are forced to lose at least four suits if someone decides to target you.
it is insufficient. There are lots of examples for this where you are still screwed given Harpyja's suggestion
For example, sniper type activities, whether with an actual sniper rifle, or whether the guy is just covering groundspawn with a duvolle or something . You (or someone else) WILL lose those 4 suits. And they'll be back tomorrow. And the day after that. And the day after that....

Speaking of "career awoxers":
- it costs nothing to create a new account - bans currently last only 24 hours - you can create a new character every *10* hours, if you delete an old one - The only barrier to entry for FW, is making it through ONE academy battle. (I myself have made it out of academy in one battle. blah)
The combination of free characters, with no effective barrier to entry to FW, is also potentially a problem, reguardless of how high the penalties are.
Particularly when some people PAY others to awox. Thus literally a "career".
