It seems that finding the exact revive location is a bit more trickier again. Sometimes I'm not able to revive them or only by using the shortcut-button (that still takes longer than manually reviving and can override manually reviving).
The bodies also get revived on a different spot than you have to stab. I also saw some peeps getting revived halfway in the ground (two times when a MLT injector user snatched my revives, that's what you get with MLT ) and also dead bodies that don't appear or are in a wall which makes it confusing as:
The revive icon still reappears when somebody after someone bleeks out (I guess the moment they spawn in again?) |

I can confirm reviving sometimes is a real problem, not only for ghost icons where the killed ally has respawned elsewhere, but also because the downed position is NOT the same of the icon location.
A couple of days ago I was playing with my corp mates and one of my teamates was shot down: his body was slowly rolling but the blinking icon remained in the same position. He was eventually revived when his body fell on the lower level of the building where there was another corp member with nanite injectors.

I confirm that. I cant revire some one (proto inj), and some one with militia inj comes and revire! I have it many times. Many times i have another: i revire some one and he is half in the ground, on in the wall and he cant move. Can only suiside or die. |

I've seen the opposite of Aderek, where the first needle stick did nothing (no idea what type was used) but my PRO needle (the second used) picked up the fallen toon. I haven't noticed the type of needle mattering but the sequence, usually the second stick will work.
Also, if the O button doesn't work as intended manually switching to the nanite injector and pressing R1 will revive a fallen teammate. That has always worked for me when the shortcut fails, although it does make for some hairier engagements (the Proto needles and rep tools do take some risk out of it). |

I can never seem to revive someone if they die or their body has slided onto a stairs.

Hmm, i never used shortcut. I allways first swiched to INJ and pres button on pad, or mouse or keyboard, but always first switch weapon to INJ.

I don't think it's related to the meta-level of your injector, but is related to the O-button-animation.
It seems that you usually revive with the O-button? Do you press O right after the other guy does a revive?
That's probably why you get the revive and the first guy not (who revived manually (R1)).
The O-animation seems to override the manual revive. Atleast that's my theory.
It sucks when some geezers revives your teammate with a MLT injector (it's always those guys that stand around waiting for WP-reviving instead of contributing to the game) because they think they can pull of a mid-battle revive like yours truly that is using proto injectors and rep-tools. They usually both end up dead again.
That being said. Sometimes I switch back to my weapon and use the O-button to revive if the manual revive doesn't seem to work lately . |

i have a feeling it has to do with the rag doll effect. The place of revivement may be where their body was killed at, and not where it was slung to. As this was not a big problem until they re-implemented it.

I do use the shortcut as my main revive. I'm not out there stabbing toons willy nilly, I'm the second needle 'cause I saw the first attempt fail.
Have you tested your theory at all? I'd be interested in the results, may try to test this myself today or tomorrow.
And one last observation from last night's matches: the PRO needle was healing 100% armor (no hives in the area). |

I crafted the theory after a few games where my squad mate (who revives with the O-button) always got the revive for some magically reason when he was running just behind me. My char always did the stab-thing (with no succes) and then I could see him stabbing the corpse right after too (with succes).
I even think you can't activate a revive when someone else started the O-button-animation?
For the 100% revive? Are you sure no Logibro aimed his rep tool at you while reviving (I'm doing this lately so the suckers who got MLT revived stand a chance). |

No surprise there, he was using the Caldari State specialist Nanite Injector, which gives 100% armor. (real name might slightly differ)
