Apparently no one is.
I cant even get into Amarr FW matches.
Not even joking but in one nigh I had six full ten minute search timers before getting a scotty message after each one.

I have pretty much gone back to pubs. SP is all, and SP is faster in pubs.

I played one match yesterday and it was my first FW in a week because it's so hard to get into the bloody thing. Nonetheless, fighting for Minmatar is always an easy win. |

You put up with ridiculously long queues (10 mins plus, really) for an LP reward which couldn't cover even the lightest gear loss even if you had all the items available in the LP store.

If there are just that few people queuing up for amarr than it might be giving you that wait while it fills out the rest of your team.
Going over 10 minutes to get a match on minmatar has been common for a while now, but its been getting worse each passing day.

The now inaccurate que times for FW have made it such a pain.
Estimated time 1 min 30 seconds and qued up for 8 minutes.... etc..
And it really wears on you, to the point where in the middle of one of those que's you just go "Screw it" and go que up for a normal pub. |

So you need the ISK sink in EVE, because right now there isn't even close to enough. CCP Built a giant ISK sink with a market that can't be utilized to trade rewards back for ISK. There was no reason at this stage to ask for ISK aswell as LP for items purchased in the LP store so soon.

Unfortunately I actually have data to support this position.
I've been collecting data on my FW matches (focusing on salvage mostly) but the win / loss statistic has been troubling me as of late.
Since 1.7 Minmatar has won 89% of the FW matches I have participated in.
So assuming its the same for caldari, they and amarr will essentially be getting 1 / 10 the LP and Rep. Considering the LP rewards are already considered a bit low, playing for those factions with anything less than a full proto squad is just throwing isk away.

This. FW just isn't sustainable, honestly they should have a switch to get paid in ISK or LP, at least until a marketplace comes about. This added with long que times just drags FW down...not even mentioning the imbalance in factions. But long que times could be a product of unbalanced factions.. Hard for Mins and Gals to fight themselves.
Now PC is just too limited. A very small amount of players actually get to play and only a few times a day.
Sad thing about this...these modes only funnel everyone back into pubs. Which just leads to proto stomps and hurts the NPE.

yes i have gone back to pubs too, not that i really got the chance to start....... as soon as i got the isk saved then everyone stopped playing..... it really does suck because I LOVE FW and the concept of LP but this is getting ridiculous.....
CCP needs to start focusing on bringing in new player base and keeping that player base. They need to do this by going back to our roots, first by giving something cool to new players that can't be transfered to another player in the future. Then we need to extend the academy by at least another 8000 WP (really we need to extend it to at least 15,000 and give players accelerated sp gain while in the academy. ) After that you need to bring them in slowly there is a lot of content but it is all really overwhelming, making different meta lvls for the game modes should help this.
Watch pubs and FW become balanced and fun again.

FW is bad messed up, I have not been in there in a while.
The LP reward system is just plain broken, specially for those who play the faction that is taking a beating like Caldari. FW is suppose to be an isk sink when its more like sticking a shop vac in a bin full of money every time you touch it. LP rewards need to be based on both performance and standing. The loss you will take by being one of the 5 people not AFKing once the lead is lost in the current system is exactly why so many people end up sniping or spinning in circles within 4 minutes of the match starting.
I think they need to make it so that you can not simultaneously queve for opposing sides. (Can only select Caldari and Amarr for example) It seems like most of the problem for the lesser played factions is that the matches are getting filled with solo newberries who select all 4 and just get piled in so that the other side can play. This inability to get decent team mates only leads to less people playing and going back to pub.
Finally (and something like this may be in place already im not sure) but people who have received a certain number of bans should be banned permanently or the ban length should atleast grow with each subsequent ban so that atleast the griefers will have to make new accounts at some point. |

Still FW about half the time, but not sure how long I'll continue. Que times are ridiculous and Loyalty Point store doesn't really feel worth it until all sides are up to 100% content. The Amarr have an almost criminally weak loyalty point store (the only race putting out a heavy suit, but the weapons are in other factions?! And no Amarr HAVs?).
In the future I hope that FW'ing in Dust will be like FW'ing in Eve with picking a side to fight for and then building up a reputation with that side yadyadayada. But that will probably need to take a massive backseat to things like clipping issues, lag spikes, and the AI's definition of 'Succesful Deployment' of vehicles.
So, yeah. Still FW regular, but not sure for how much longerGǪ |
