I'm not even talking about slayer logi's, ya'll can gtfo. I mean real pure logistics players.
I remember when the only repair tool on the market was the prototype AUR version.
I remember the black smoke repair tools and how much less WPs they rewarded you.
I remember when you had to search for a body in order to revive it.
I remember when people had a bleed out button, so you couldn't forcibly revive them to farm WPs.
I remember when you couldn't equip an item that showed every enemy withing a 100m radius of you.
I remember when logi's were so rare that they were a true and valuable asset to the team.
I remember when you had to sacrifice an equipment slot if you wanted to move as fast as every logi does today.
I remember when 90% of the playerbase used shield-tanked assaults, so a repair tool was a rare piece of equipment that had a niche role.
I remember how practically the only benefits of being a logi back then were infinitely supplying nanohives and being able to repair yourself with your own rep tool.
I remember. Do you?

Indeed I do.
Also, just now coming back to my memory is the WARR1ORS, and how they ruined the game for logi's everywhere by getting the ability to earn WPs for repping vehicles removed from the game.

I don't. I wasn't around for that long.
Only thing about my early days was being trapped in the Academy for about two weeks or so, barely any FW because the matches were always closed, and some epic resurrections with my starter medic suit. |

I remember being a STD Gal Logi pre armor buff, it was horrid. You had 2 choices : Stack plates and be as slow as a heavy or and die or die. I also miss being able to Rep myself, but it made things a little too easy.
Full time Logi before it was cool.

I do remember the times when you didn't need such an item because passive scans were shared with the team.

Was not one of the lucky ones to be in closed beta, so I cannot relate. As for easy, there are a ton of us support logis running around grabbing all of those WP 's because it is so easy.We just spawn in and stand in one spot and the points just pour in, I get giddy with all points it is truly easy mode, DON'T TELL ANYONE ELSE, they might want in.Are you just trolling because you are bored? With all of your experience you could help other logis with tips.I 'm guilty in that I fell for your bait, +1 for you. |

Yeah, I remember the really ugly injector hit detection. I also remember sticking people with the circle button, trying to simultaneously switch to my repper in the equipment wheel only to have my injector pop into my hand.
Now I can quick stick, switch to my repper, get my repper, throw some heals on the guy, switch back to my gun or scanner and carry on. |

At that stage of the beta, repair tools weren't supposed to be publicly available, but the devs forgot to pull a prototype aur variant off the market. You needed to go out of your way to train repair tools to level 5 to use it, and it was buggy. The repair beam effect didn't have the right texture/lighting/whatever, and looked like a stream of pitch black electricity/smoke |

I don't think that's the best idea, but I'll support it since CCP is taking away Logi passive armor Rep.

It always did seem kinda silly that in most games with a healing gun I can't just point the thing at my chest and press the trigger with my thumb
Maybe if it got nerfed down to a 10 hp/s repair rate when used on yourself so its mainly useful for recovering between shootouts and not used for jumping around like a rabbit self repairing with a core focused at 200hp/s |

I remember repping myself with the repair tool, that was pretty helpful as i didnt have to run a rep mod plus it made sense at the time. As for being easier now,no, its just everything that was supposed to to work/ make a logi good as supporting finally works like it should without any bugs.Remember when the injecters didnt show any fallen teammates?you we running around trying to pick up fallen enemeies sometimes or alread died players whos bodies havent disappeared yet putting you at risk.
edit:also remember when their was one logi suit?
A strange game.
The only winning move is
not to play.

Acceptable.

I remember back in chromosome, Logis were a blessing when ever I saw them on my team.
Now it's like "Oh, another Logi that will probably do my suit's job better".
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I remember playing the Logi role in a Scout suit.
You were missing out on speed? I wasn't. You couldn't pick enemies up at long range? I could. You had a Repair Tool, Nanohives and a Nanite Injector on the same fitting? I... only had a Repair Tool.
Good times...
And yes, I ran a proper Logi fitting as well. Obviously. I still miss the black Repair Tool beams - they were more subtle and it was easier to hide while repping. |

I remember all that and hating being logistics. Now I find myself coming back to it. And yea I hate the WARR1ORS for what they did with that. Although someone else would have done it eventually you know that scrub corp would of course have been the first.

I remember when WPs were removed from repair tools in order to stop a WP farming exploit.
A few of us still used them, though. After an acceptable shrine was erected an proper sacrifices made in our honor, ofc.

I do remember the times when you didn't need such an item because passive scans were shared with the team. How about when the overview map showed EVERYONE'S position. Dropping those new fangled Orbitals from our four man squads was so easy.

It wasn't exactly hard to kill people in Chrome. The laser Rifle then was the finger of Odin; 2 swipes dropped heavies.
I was hard being a Logi for me because I was just starting out, and I was starting to realize that no matter how much you Logi, if your team is bad, your team is just bad. Assaults running around faster, bulkier with 2 EQ slots and a side-arm, while I'm sitting in a Logi suit with a MD(better in Chrome, but still worse compared to SS ARs and Lasers) |
