I know that the new specs are not set in stone, and I do not want to be a stone thrower, but I am concerned that the scanner bonus is just too much.
1. With just three levels of PROF and a Quantum scanner they will put everyone on map for 24 seconds, and will effectively defeat an assault players LVL 5 dampening with a LVL 5 Dampner (thats a lot of SP invested to just undo)
2. As a Caldari Logi my advanced suit is already outclassed by the Gallente, I have to run an enhanced CPU to host R9's, k17's and a Quantum Scanner. I have two complex shields, an enhanced recharger, an enhanced armor plate, with a DREN AR and FLUX grenades. Even if I go to lvl 5 electronics and LVL5 core I will still need to run a CPU in a low slot and still carry a DREN, The Gallente will have more HP and more punch via a bigger weapon and put me on the neocon for 24 seconds.--please give us back our CPU-he already has more CPU, is faster with a larger pool of stamina!
3. My Caldari bonus of nanohive repair is frankly insulting-I put my two K17's down and it's done all the while a Gallente Logi lights me and my fellow Caldarian's up with his scanner as we huddle around a nanohive waiting for them to repair our shields...LOL!
Yes I am a Xenophobic Caldari.

I am hoping that a change to scanners is coming before/concurrent with the Gal Logi bonus, even if the Gal Logi bonus changes.

Yes I am a Xenophobic Caldari. Sit down and chill. You will receive PG+CPU reduction bonus for all equipment usage like the gallente logi has allready. And trust me 25% on 3 equipment is still a quite noticeable bonus. And you have to keep in mind that the caldari suit has 9 module slots. Gallente Logi has 8.
I shall show you a world, a world which you cant imagine, a world full off butthurt n00bs at the other end of my gun

chill? i am chill bro.
I accounted for the 5% in my CPU load calc, and since I am basing it on advanced gear, it's 15% not 25% ( my post my example) thus making your last observation mute.

Actually, the Caldari Logistics bonus is pretty nice.
The Minmatar can ONLY have a healing bonus. What do you get? A NANOHIVE bonus. There are healing nanohives.
Technically, if you filled your low slots with a Triage Hive, a Resupply Hive, and an Injector, you could be a more efficient squad helper than the Minmatar Logi, thanks to having a bonus that more widely effects equipment. The only downside is that your squaddies need to stay still while you're doing your work. This is helpful in any type of still firefight, and mostly helpful in just plain triage.
That is all.

I hear ya,
I have two friends that went Min, and both went because of the hacking bonus now their thinking about how to adapt. Change always has two faces, but it is good. I just don't like this scanning bonus, i'll admit to being an early adopter of the scanner-team vision anyone?
21 second @ 30db @ lvl 3, will be awful
and i want my CPU back...lol only fair.
Magnetometric waves should not work as well on CAL and MIN because were not metal based monsters. |
