It makes me sad that so few people are submitting and attempting challenges for either the Dust Ticket Challenges or Big Shot Bounty Board.
All you need is a phone or a tiny camera to begin claiming many of these challenges and the large ticket values they hold. I will demonstrate with this straight forward example.
Dust 514 - PS Move Sharpshooter Challenge
Original challenge details:
[A][Jadek Menaheim][01.05 11:19] The Sharpshooter - Score a headshot with a PS Move enabled sniper riffle of your choice. The twitch of the raw-input for the move controller creates a challenge for lining up pinpoint shots. Reward: 14 Tickets: [Claim with Video]
Yes, it is very possible to achieve. No, I cannot claim the reward for my own challenge. It is up to you fellow Dust Mercs to create your own content for submission.
With regards, Jadek Menaheim

It handles about as well as steering a bull by it's horns. If you do feel like "Dusting" it off, these are the current challenges I have posted for the PS Move category.
No Buffs, Just Fisticuffs - Score a melee kill with the PS Move Controller.
Details for Challenge: [Submission] [Claim with Video] PS Move control scheme must be active, wherein swiping or jerking the Move controller activates the Melee. I would recommend this one for a 17 ticket payout. At least in my experience it is quite uncommon and difficult to score a melee kill in the first place on the DS3. With a PS Move, the challenge becomes compounded as you have to work with a different mechanism for turning and tracking that is tied to the move controller. Jerking the PS move to initiate a Melee strike is going to jostle your screen perspective. Challenges on challenges. Have fun.
Move Aside for this Driver - Lay down suppressive fire on a choke point or contested objective using a PS Move enabled Mass Driver.
Details for Challenge: [Submission] [Claim with Video] Value 4 tickets. Any kill with Move enabled Mass Driver awards up to an additional 2 tickets. A straight forward and easy challenge that is put forward to increase media presence of Move controls for discussion.
The Sharpshooter - Score a headshot with a PS Move enabled sniper riffle of your choice.
Details for Challenge: {Submission] [Claim with Video] Value 14 Tickets: The twitch of the raw-input for the move controller creates a challenge for lining up pinpoint shots.

Ghost Kaisar wrote:If I can claim all of these in a single life, in a single commando suit, can I just win the lottery? Yes*
*The stipulation being you must write up a challenge suggestion stating that Ghost Kaisar will win the lottery by completing the PS Move challenges in this manner. Completion of the challenge under these stipulations will award a ticket value that may only range between 1 to 20, unless considered to double difficulty status which this will merit.
TL:DR do the impossible; get 40 tickets for the 'next' lottery.

Ghosts Chance wrote:i think it has something to do with the fact that tickets are worthless :P
thats alot of effort for something worth less then a like on the forums I wouldn't necessarily call them worthless when there is 47.5 million ISK and a Templar BPO set on the line. People who work both fronts of purchasing tickets and completing challenges have a greater possibility of winning.
It's simply a matter of what are the odds worth for your time and or ISK?

Ghosts Chance wrote:this is EvE, nobody has any possability of winning.
as in real life purchasing lottery tickets with the idea that you might win is just silly.
its actually really easy to rig and game your chance of winning.... its high risk high reward at this point the lottery will be won by someone who purchases enough tickets at the last minuite to essentially "buy" the templay set for less then the isk cost of the templay set.
if you purchase an amount of tickets equal to 75% of the pot you have a 75% chance of making your money back AND getting a templay set and a 25% chance of failure.
essentially he who sinks the most money into it has a nearly automatic win without losing any isk doing it. the more you have to spend on tickets the less risk there is.
this will be won by someone who spends 600mil on tickets the week before 1.8
We shall see how things turn out for this whale of a ticket buyer.

These are documented with photos that are posted to the forums. that further devalues any actual isk value of tickets :P the more you give out the less tickets are actually worth. as of right now 600mil gives you a 93% chance of winning with a couple hundred mill profits. That is one way to look at things. I see tickets as a marketing and publicity initiative. When combined with the challenges and two daily suggestion tickets, I am able to promote a low barrier of entry to a lottery with a high reward. If I can initially get a player in the door by seeing their name on the board they might feel more comfortable placing down a little ISK even if the probability is horrible; they have currently put little to nothing down by being roped in with this free tickets.

Ghosts Chance wrote:yah those are the same numbers i was using to determine how much isk it would take to buy a near automatic win :P
two suggestions for the next lottery :P
maximum available tickets
OR
maximum number of tickets any one individual can purchase (best solution for people like me who like to put things into spreadsheets to determin the optimal amount of isk vs profit vs loss chance ratios from hell) I would be fine with following the second option with one caveat---the challenge system I have of uncapped reward tickets would remain relatively the same. This pushes more people to produce content for tickets, rather than purchase them.

As for the next lottery, (yes I'm getting ahead of myself) I am planning to release 30,000 'vapor' core locus grenades. I feel the approach of limiting ticket purchases would assist my end goals of having the community generate more media content.
