I've had this happen with grenades, where people were right over the nade and it did nothing.
Now I had it happen with remote explosives.
I am very much not amused at how much effort I put into this trap and it didn't even scrape the guy. Luckily I managed to kill him with my SMG with 10 armor left lawl
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Also, no hit markers for anything with splash anymore. Pretty irritating for flux grenades when you're trying to breach a room. MDs are also infuriating to use as you can't see peoples HP to see if you're doing damage.

The Proximity Mines have been like that for a while too, I reinforced an objective with 7 of them a couple nights ago in a pub and I kid you not an HAV pulled up and rolled right through, detonating but not taking damage, like it was a streetsweeper.

I like remote explosives the way they are, they keep me on my toes.

My flaylock and mass driver have been working well recently.
As for not seeing the hp, I don't worry about that. I just keep lobbing MD till the clip runs out

Yup. I actually don't mind getting killed by crafty RE's.
I have started placing them in some odd places around objectives. So long as you are 4m within the letter, it will kill them.

I came up next to an enemy heavy the other day. From about 10-15 meters away I shot him in the upper torso with my proto assault forge gun with 2x complex damage mods and he survived, didn't even take out all his shields; it's like all he took was the splash damage even though I know it was a direct hit.
I don't think it's just explosives that are suffering either. Had a scout dance up to me from 30 meters out even though I was shooting at him with my HMG the whole time.
CCP: Is it the most asinine way possible to do this? Yes. Then that's how we're doing it.

Same problem as on my scout alt.
Mlt grenade killed me in my proto min assault with 468 shields, witnessed by two corp mates, full health, meh.
Level 2 forum warrior.
Minmatar and Gallente fw.
I sold my wife and kids to the Amarr for isk, its a valid tactic.
