Does anyone know how the math works out for a Gunloggi with a railgun and triple damage mods? Any kind of railgun, from militia to proto.

1st damage mod 100% effect 2nd is i think around 85~87% and the 3rd is like ~55% But my guess is with a proto railgun you could deal ~2500HP damage per shot. However you are driving in a glas cannon which could be 3 shoted by a soma and a militia railgun.
I shall show you a world, a world which you cant imagine, a world full off butthurt n00bs at the other end of my gun

Proto Railgun is 1885 damage right?
Then 1885 * 1.3 * 1.261 * 1.171 = around 3618 damage per shot.
Militia or Standard Railgun would be around 2783 damage as well.

Glass cannon fits lose their weakness when in the redline though, at least if they're not being stupid about it.

Sorry about that, was trying to derust my scout suit a bit for the upcoming event and you blew me to pieces so I blew up into pieces back. I had to park behind you too to make sure I didn't miss at that range, AA not my best thing and tank pilots on your team where not that attentive or if they been they would have gotten to me first.
I will say though railguns need to be much harder to fit on havs I have no fitting skills and was able to slap on three modules and an advanced large railgun, though upgraded to advanced costed me my two useless smalls.

Railguns by themselves are not broken but the way modules work right now is totally hideous. In a tank vs tank the Railgun (Anti-Vehicle) should superior, tank vs infantry the blaster (Anti-Infantry) is the best option and if you want to do everything by half try the missiles.
CCP should not have MLT, STD and ADV modules with almost the same effect of PRO modules, and the only differences being the cooldown / cpu / pg. From my humble opinion there should be a gradual increase in the effect and not a flat effect for every tier.

Yeah a 3 modded proto rail pretty much one shots my python from 500m out and it happens quite often. I love getting 7k+ damage done to me in a second/before I can activate an afterburner to get away.

This hurts my soul This is why I've been enjoying DUST so much. Dual damage mod Sica with a railgun, just cruise around and pop tanks, LAVs, and the occasional dropship. Never die, make tons of ISK and SP. It's an easy way to play when you're slumming around, and you can literally ignore infantry.
All for 80k ISK.

I have been saying the same for so long now , since the start of 1.7 , missiles need to be more accurate .
This is why I am worried about the up coming changes in the skill tree . We wil prob get some mods taken away as well as having the infantry class mimic the vehicle skill tree , which would kill this game .
The way this is set up is reflective of how some call for the elimination of tiers . This is how the future will look if they do so and for me , it would ruin the game more than the bugs and problems that exist .
Edit : Or the promotion of tierside . I can never tell because sometimes I get confused by what some of the people want but it's the opposite of the current system , I understand that much .
Future Caldari Heavy so watch out for this Sumo Shinobi with a Caldari HMG .

I am fairly sure that all the negative stacking penalties work the same with the same math. I am not sure about penalties like come with the shield extenders, if it is just the same % for each or if it has crazy math.

A resistance build most of the time comes on top, but since you can stack 3 Militia damage mods without any sort of skill requirement, the only thing you need for a glass cannon tank is LVL 1 HAV Operation and the Rail Turret.
The lower level damage mods are a BIG ISSUE because they require so little amount of CPU/PG and do exactly the same as a complex for some "x" increment in the cooldown.
