I thought they appear on my in game contacts, but sometime i see them on random people that i don't have in my contacts.
Anybody knows?

Anyone that hasa gray square with two lines means they paveda bounty on your head.
If it has one line, that means that player had accepted it.
Just kidding. I think they're supposed to be contacts,but seeing asi have random people, that might not be the case (unless they've added me?). |

That's supposed to be the standing. For now, you'll only see an "=" sign, meaning "neutral", and only for the people in your friend list or people who added you in their friend list.
But looks like there's a forum bug too...
