I think it would be a good idea to have a mode of gameplay called the 'training arena' you can enter it by yourself or with a squad. It spawns you into an area with buildings and terrain set up like many of the battlegrounds you might find in the pvp modes.
There would be some dummy targets set up in various places to be used for shooting and grenade throwing practice, with some supply depotes set up to resupply you as needed. No time limit, no team kill, 50 clone limit. Maybe these dummy targets would have different dB radar blips to help you test out scan builds and whatnot.
Basicly a place to practice your skills and team coordination without being in a real battle. Sure being in a real match is good practice as well, but so is having some time to just mess around in the game without having a real goal or danger. |

This would also be good for corp squad/team training exersizes. It could cost a small ammount of ISK if you think it needs balancing, obviously with no WP SP or ISK earned for participating. This should be easier to make than PVE as far as content goes, and some of the architecture of this would probably be the same as entering into a PVE situation so wouldn't be too different as far as development goes. So lets see this happen! |

I think this would be better as an in-game battleground simulator. This way you if you die or have some stuff destroyed, you won't lose it. Also, the ability to try out any fitting combination in the marketplace would be great for this It would allow people to have a better idea about what they really want to skill into next. |

Banjo you're in Bullet Cluster so I'm assuming you've been around for a while
And if you have you'd have known that this has been asked for since the beginning of corp battles.

It could also provide some individual AI feedback to assist new players or vet players with new weapons in fine tuning their setup. i.e. "After 10 practises matches, you tend to miss your moving targets 37% to the rear. Consider increasing your X-axis sensitivity to accommodate." |

Yup.
Properly done this would help in NPE as well.
Annoying to have first tests of new weapons and vehicles in a 'live' environment.
Yea I know it's a one time nuisance per wep/vehicle which will pass in short time, but multiply that by the number of all new players.

I think this is a GREAT idea. it would also be good for trying out new weapons to get a feel for them. THIS SHOULD BE IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!! |
