Sorry about the caps, but I just wanna get this out there.
Unless the CPU/PG levels are being changed, don't change the Gallente Assault suit bonus.
For any who don't know, the Gallente Assault gets a 25 percent fitting reduction to all hybrid weapons. I use this with the AR, SG, PLC and RR.
If this skill is changed, we won't be able to fit anything. Don't get me wrong, the plate bonus sounds great...but I need to fit stuff on my suit.

I've found that I'm more likely to be PG rather than CPU limited when fitting Gal suits, so this change may not limit your fitting options in the way you think it will. The increase in armor plate efficiency will allow you to swap out higher level plates for lower ones, while maintaining or increasing your eHP. This will free up CPU and PG. In most situations, it will free up more PG but less CPU than the hybrid weapon bonus. If you're PG limited like I often am, this might actually increase your fitting options. Moreover, the CPU/PG gained by fitting a lower level plate or two can be reallocated in any way you choose, increasing the number of possible options for those not using a hybrid weapon. I would imagine the change might limit fitting options on MLT and STD suits, leave ADV in about the same place and increase options for Proto suits, but I would have to do some in depth analysis to confirm.

-Aramis You make a good point, but most fits only run enhanced plates anyway, dropping them for basics would only free up 20 CPU and a small amount of PG(I don't remember the exact number)
It would be a ok change for non hybrid weapon users, but anyone who uses the AR or RR will suffer. Not to mention those of us who are waiting for hybrid sidearms to further take advantage of the bonus.

I think you exagerate a bit as the gal assault is the only one with the fitting reduction and the other suits can be fitted as well. But you will need to adjust your fittings thats for sure...I thin 1.8 will change the game entirely |

Thought I hope your right.
