Losing that 25 percent reduction to hybrid weapons will invalidate all my fittings. We don't have enough CPU/PG as it is.

And seriously. You're saying no to a 25% plate bonus? Just downgrade a plate and you'll get the same thing if that's what you want. I'm all for a plate bonus, but I'm only able to fit 2 enhanced plates and 1 complex rep+enhanced rep.
Dropping a enhanced plate for a basic would save me 10 CPU and a few PG.
The fitting reduction bonus saves me around 22 CPU and 3-4 PG on a Proto AR. Not to mention, once we get hybrid sidearms it will save even more CPU/PG.

Are you seriously so tight on fitting that you'd say no to that bonus? What are you fitting? I have a fit somewhere with dual complex reps, dual enhanced plates, triple damage mods and a Duvolle. Unless you're using core locus grenades and allotek hives I really can't see how you need that fitting so badly. 2 complex dmg mods 1 basic shield extender 2 complex reps 2 enhanced plates Duvolle AR Six kin SMG M1 Locus Compact hive
I ran a toxic and std nano hive but changed out for this fit.
Total stats 173 shields 504 armour 12.50 repair per sec 394/394 CPU 77/79 PG 4.70 movement speed 6.92 sprint

Not to mention, I need it for when the hybrid sidearms are introduced.

We don;t even know if they are touching the CPU/PG layouts there could be an extensive reworking of all the suits. As the CPM's say; nothing is official. If we get a buff to CPU/PG then I would be fine giving up the bonus, but I doubt we will see a major change.

Nosid Katona wrote:I'm also pretty disappointed to see the bonus go; I fit my suits to the brink most of the time and losing this bonus will force me to rethink alot of my fits unless there is a slot layout or CPU/PG change as others have mentioned. However let's just wait and see how this works out it may even help Gallente Assaults like you and I.
Anyway I thought I'd post my proto fit so that you might try it out; it works pretty well for me the few times I ever break it out.
Assault gk.0
1 Complex light Damage Modifier 2 Complex Shield Extenders Duvolle Assault Rifle 'Toxin' ICD-9 Submachine Gun M1 Locus Grenade R-9 Drop Uplink 2 Enhanced Armor Plates 1 Basic Armor Plate 1 Basic Armor Repairer
Stats Shields - 295 Armor - 598 Price - 129,675 ISK
This is just my first proto fit; it is usually wise to have multiple for different situations. If you prefer more damage you can always switch out a shield extender for a damage mod too. This fit is just what I usually use when I am asked to jump in a PC battle.
2 Complex light Damage Modifiers 1 Complex Shield Extender GEK - 38 Assault Rifle 'Toxin' ICD-9 Submachine Gun C-7 Flux Grenade K-2 Nanohive 3 Enhanced Armor Plates 1 Complex Armor Repairer
Stats Shields - 223 Armor - 625 Price - 102,315 ISK
That is my second fit; I usually run it when I need to be more self sustaining or when I want to take out enemy equipment with flux grenades. Both these fits have served me pretty well so perhaps they might work for you.
(P.S - you can even change them around pretty easily so these fits can be flexible when needed. Also if anyone has some fitting suggestions feel free but keep in mind I'm waiting to skill into a sidearm till there is one I actually like. All suggestions will be appreciated.)
Vae Victis thank you for the fits.
I've never been a fan of the GeK, just can get any use of it.
Also, have you tried stacking complex plates and a complex repper? Works pretty well as a mini heavy, if you can fit a repair hive or even a compact it can work pretty well. Just try to stick with a Logi.
Though, you triple enhanced plate setup with a complex extender does about the same thing.
