Leonid Tybalt wrote:Your point being? Most countries kill cows, pigs, sheep etc. to get meat. Meat that science over and over again has proven to be redundant and extremely harmful to the enviroment to produce. The nutrition that comes from meat is readily available in a shitload of completely plant based sources. You can get all the proteins you need by eating nuts, quorn, soy-based products etc. Yet for some reason people aren't willing to give up eating meat (I know I sure won't being the proud and shameless carnivore that I am). So unless you, mr trolling threadposter aren't willing to give up eating meat and dairy products to adopt a full blown vegan lifestyle then you're just being a hypocrite crying about other countries who happen to kill animals that you have some sortof irrational soft spot for as a source of food. What makes a whale more "special" than a cow?
lol, eating nuts

yes

All depends but judging by the predators they'd have faced during that period and the size of their prey I'd say yes as they'd have needed to be in packs to survive and to kill their prey. All living things evolve subject to environment but occasionally there are fk ups, like us. We take from the earth and replace what we took with rubbish and sewage lol
We do not really take anything. There is really no we. All things are part of a holonic system. Every thing that happens is entropic.

Next time theres an oil spill or a nuclear power plant blows up I'll be sure to keep that in mind.
Even the stance of fighting for the environment is only to benefit our children. Its like being Christian. We calculate how will this effect me against how much effort it will take to change it. humans seem out of place in the larger scheme of things. like viruses seem out of place in the human body. Trust me everything is as it should be.

The thing about humans is we can construct morality and feel a certain way about it. Its all rather meaningless, except to those who accept it and give it their own meaning. Does it matter to the cosmos? Does it matter to a bum living under a bridge? How about Obama? You would think if it was important someone would get off their fat ass and stop it. The truth is most people cant be bothered to do anything more than complain about it.

Trust me everything is as it should be. I see what you are saying but it just seems as irresponsible as you could get. We are intelligent enough to actually think about things and change for the better. And I do hope you don't apply that logic to things like genocide or killing endangered species. Ps I still eat cod with chips, just 'doing my bit' lol.
Here is a thought. We have the technology to make any element into gold, but we don't because it costs too much.
