They call upon me for I am winter The storm of storms And by creed, the loyal arm of the State It is my will that declares such The vision bores into my mind Ancestors who speak to me in my sleep
And I shall not wander from this Nor give way to the enemy who hunts me The hunted shall not be the prey But the student who learns Gaining wisdom, I exceed Beyond the shortcomings of expectation
That prison, that which has locked my gift I shattered its chains Think forward and create its existence I capture it, molding it like frequencies That ultimately mold matter Into any form conceivable
Their eyes shall open Like the plethora of stars in the night sky Piercing from the darkness Awakening to destiny promised
We gather Speaking of our tales, we gather Uniting under a code of strength Wisdom, perseverance Qualities that has made the best Even better, the wise even wiser
It is the Way And they shall call upon us For we are winter And our storms descend mercilessly upon thee

I do love this poem. We're you portraying the wind of the north? Or the 4 winds in general?

I'm sitting here trying to puzzle out the poetic techniques of your writing......sad....but no one is at work yet.
To a Texan like you, a hero is some type of weird sandwich, not some nut who takes on three Gunlogi.

Nice observation kirjuun. I did indeed found inspiration from the wind of the north, though I wouldn't say it's a portrayal. I allowed my ancestors to speak through me and the above is what I heard spoken to me.
