Anyhow, yes, the game is f***ed up, it never really left Beta. Here's some quick fixes, and I'd appreciate constructive posts, not just QQing. I know that's a lot to ask on here, but please restrain yourselves.
1. Pubstomping. It's killing the game. No new user wants to sign up to go 0/10 against protostompers. The corps that do this know who you are as the rest of us do, no need to call you out. The solution is make an option to disable protogear in pubs, meaning they can't use it, but neither can you. Let gameplay be about skills, not gear. The older users will still have an advantage because of prof., etc. but at least new users would stand a chance. Leave adv. gear in the mix to keep the vets happy. For example, a militia AR can stand a chance against a GEK. Not a Duvolle.
2. PC. Disable timers. Make it so the attacker has to meet the defenders schedule. If they want the district bad enough, make THEM get up at 4am. Also tie EVE to PC like in FW. Make it a true team effort, make alliances between the 2 games more relevant.
3. Tanks are OP. I put this in another thread. Any machine that takes punishment doesn't work properly. Make it so when tanks take to much damage, they don't function as well. Mobility, targeting, ROF, whatever. Make proxies blow the treads off or axles out. I don't know specifics, but you get the idea. Also add AV turrets to LAV's and dropships.
4. Decrease the range of the CR. The railrifle is supposed to be the long range weapon, make the CR more CQC based. Increase the damage, reduce the range.
5. Abandon the cloaks. Instead, give Scouts a shield/armor/damage mod buff.
6. Introduce the armory. It's been too long. I understand the marketplace will take a while to develop.
7. Let passengers in vehicles not on a turret shoot their weapons.
8. Make it so a corp cannot exist without at least 8 ACTIVE members, no alts. This will make people join more mid-to large corps, or form new ones, and increase interest in PC because corps that do exist will have more manpower and resources.
That's 8 solid ideas, non biased to my personal gameplay. In the off chance a Dev reads this, I'd appreciate the input. |

How about you go f*ck yourself.
And there we go...your logic impresses me. *Ahem* NEXT. |

Clarification: Im not saying people can't run solo or play with friends. You can still squad with people from different corps, can't you? I'm in a small corp as well, and we can at least manage to field a couple full squads.

2. In discussion and considerations on fixes; CPM put a hot stove underneath it recently.
3. We're still looking at the dust to settle form the vehicle chances right now I am seeing an increasing number of tanks gettings destroyed by infantry so people are learning something. There are complaints that the militia tanks are too good but I caution about over nerfing them to make the military grade tanks too superior.
4. I rather see the kick increase to be just as unwieldy as the rail rifle.
5. There is no need for two assualt classes there are other options on the table.
6. Define armory? there are dozens of ways of going about the term.
7. Technical hurdle last I checked and ultimately I rather spend resources elsewhere first
8. Unenforceable so why waste developer time making it enforced?
Armory is defined as being able to share equipment with corp mates. I have 30 officer forge guns I will NEVER use, and we have a proto forge guy. So why can't I just let him have them? If I want to loan out my BPO's to my corp, why can't I? I have a ton of Caldari assault suit BPO's, and don't need to use all of them. |
