EDITED OUT LARGE CONTENT BLOCK (Edit: layout not working as intended but basically...Dropsuit Command then all three basic frame then after the basic frame, all racial varients) So would the basic frames give you access to all the suits in that category? Ie light basic frame level 3 would give me adv light frames (without bonuses) for all 4 races Just to be clear I would prefer this system to the current one but this might need to be considered
I would take out racial variants from basic frames
...suggesting that each light/medium/heavy basic frame have a standard, Advance and Prototype model. The basic frame would be unique to all the racial variants. To repeat and emphasize, you would skill Dropsuit command (Teir 1 on skill tree) then skill Basic Medium Frame (Teir 2 on skill tree) then skill racially assault/logistics (Teir 3 on skill tree).
BUT if you don't want to take out the racial basic suits, then yes, you would skill into basic frame once and get all basic racial suits
