Shad, there's a lot of threads about this already. :) The biggest thing, I think, is that CCP would have to do a lot of testing, and possibly some specific optimization to make this work with DUST 514, if it's even possible at all. On top of that, the summer release is US-only, and CCP would probably wait until an international release. Games will have to be individually launched for the platform.
So I don't think there's really any chance at all of this being ready this summer for DUST.

In another thread, I indicated why PSNow performance may be comparable or better.
Right now we have a combination of a terrible frame rate on device, and latency back to the battle servers.
However, the streaming system can use custom hardware that may surpass the PS3 in performance, and hence solve the frame rate issue.
So we increase some aspects of delay, but shorten others. And of course, the streaming system hardware is probably close to the battle servers themselves, maybe even in the same datacenter, which would reduce latency on that link of the chain.
It really depends how well it's optimized. For a single-player game, streaming will be a little worse than not streaming. In the case of DUST, it might be equivalent or better.

Zion Shad wrote:You don't understand how this works then. It's not the Game devs (on any title) that have to make ports, it's more like an emulator that allows the games to work automatically. CCP really does not need to do much at all here. You read any info?
There's no way this is going to function without Sony actually launching the game on the platform, and yes, CCP is going to have to do some work. (Just vastly less than launching a PS4 game natively.) It has to actually be hosted on their machines in order to run. Note that only four games are going to be available for it at the start of it. It most certainly will require some work to put DUST on it, particularly as a multiplayer game.

Zion Shad wrote:Lol well this is now just getting funny. Players have been asking and telling CCP to put Dust on PS4 and now that there is a way, it's being put down. Also I'm going to add the question about Dust & the Steam Box up so those post don't look off topic.
It's realism, Shad. It's likely possible, it's definitely something CCP should look at. And I think it'll work decently. But there's most certainly work involved, and I'd give it about a 1% chance CCP will have this working for the summer launch of PlayStation Now.
