They just announced it at CES. Not many details on the technical implementations but in theory it means you could play Dust 514 on your PS4.

Still looks good. Hope we get Dark Cloud on there.

you're looking at something that while it may not appear to have lag, but it will probably see a 20 to 30 ms ping. so add that to the normal ping for dust, yeah no thanks I'll wait for a full client

Honestly, I think it'd shorten latency on one end and increase it on another. You have you to client lag that you didn't have before, since your client is now a remote server, but the client to game server hop is much shorter instead. Sony's battle servers and Sony's PlayStation 3 emulator servers might even be in the same building.

If CCP is hosting their own battleservers, you could end up worsening the ping-time quite significantly. If they are in the same building, though ...
Either way, 20ms delay simply on grabbing and compressing frames would be ... optimistic, I would think :)
