current setup...
Minmatar Logistics Lvl 1 Suit Equipped Lvl 1 Drop Uplink Lvl 3 Repair Tool Lvl 1 Nanoinjector Lvl 1 Mass Driver Lvl 1 Flux Grenades 2 Lvl 1 Militia Code Breakers nothing in high slots
averaging 2k+/2.2k+ for skirmishes, skill cap in 2/3 days each week, finished SP cap for this week, reset tomorrow i think?
ok, heres what ive been up to lately here on dust. my previous fitting had a Lvl 1 nanohive equipped instead of the drop uplink, which made sense as the mass driver does not have much ammo in it. using the nanohives for a few days, i discover that i do not really use the nanohives as often as i would think, mostly using the mass driver as cover and stall for team, and not killing; the nanohives were kind useless to me personally. every now and then i can find a spot to put them down for team but with people dying and coming in with restocked equippment, they dont really ruin to them at all. to test it out, i replaced the nanohives with a Lvl 1 drop uplink, which in turn took up so much cpu on my suit, that i dropped all the mods in my high slots (shield extender and recharger) to fit it. seeing how the shield regulator isnt really helpful at this point in the low slots, i decide to replace it with another militia code breaker to fit in the free cpu i have remaining. running now with no defensive mods you can say and i have noticed something. with my current style of play i dubbed "heal and run", adding a drop uplink in rotations along with my nanoinjector and repair tool, groups im with seem to hang and hold areas alot mroe often as the group members can respawn nearby quickly enough to join the fray again and keep up offense while im busy with logistics duties. now and then i shoot some mass driver shots towards the enemies and a few tiems ive gotten a kill or two, but i keep my focus on healing/reviving/finding a good spot for uplinks; now that i have all my current skills unlocked and at lvl 1 with about 1.1mil SP, im saving up for getting a lvl 3 advanced minmatar suit which will cost me about 500k SP according to estimates. With all the ambushes i do when i need a break from FW, i make cash so that aint a problem anymore; and it also seems the ambush matches keep me on my toes with a type of "oh sht oh sht" under pressure training that works well when applied to skirmishes. the drop uplinks also work for offense, like when im running solo i can run somewhere, where it can be put down and people spawn from it like magic. free Wp i discovered. its been working for me apparently so ill stick with it for now. so now its going fine for me, im running matches til SP cap then just log on to ambush for cash or FW for standings. i run minmatar and caldari for FW, as they both have items i am interested in, and interestingly enough, i get in caldari FW ALOT as minmatar ques are horribly long. caldari does horrible in FW right now, and it seems my assistance in matches is not enough to even turn the tide of a battle, but getting 65 LP per match, they seem to be adding up and im getting SP as well....so...i guess its a win win for now. i know i can get SP somewhat easy with regular/FW skirmishes, but i jsut wish i got more LP when teh caldari loses, heh. the mass driver is working well for me and i currently dont have any incentive to change my weapon as its working for me and my playstyle right now.....hmm....i suppose thats it for thsi week, ill make another forum post next week on my progress.

people wont read this as a giant block of script, try braking it up some. chat channels "carbon 7 intel" and "chosen matari" are the 2 best places to find GOOD fw players. kingmatar rule the battlefield currently.
its worth the wait to fight winmatar, instead of going caldari or amarr, and getting a loss, just for quicker que times. lp payout between winning and losing is massive.

I'd advise you to join a corp as soon as possible, my game improved dramatically afterwards because you have a consistent group of people to play with, learn from, and bounce ideas off of. We are fully supportive of new members for our corp that are serious about playing but are still learning the ropes.
Plus, it's not like you're married to the corp, you can always change later.

I agree with John Demonsbane, you really should join a corp as soon as possible. Also, being a logi is a lot more than just dropping nanohives and injecting people. There is a whole roadmap to building a logistic character.

hmmm...ill try to summarize more...no gurantees though heh
last night i waited 20+mins in minmatar FW que then i got a scotty error for que and i had to start over; its normally like that for me nightly in the FW ques...well...during the times i play; from 8pm to midnight PST or so since i work and all :P
so caldari and minmatar will continue to be my que choices, but my gaming is going well otherwise <3

I made an alt for Minmatar FW so I could... um... fight really hard so they could win more one sided battles against noobs. 6 minutes just to get assigned to a battle tho? Madness!)
i am in no rush to join a corp currently so that isnt an issue. there are plently of players out there in general chat, the learning channel, and pickup groups ive been playing with so finding the players who WANT to squad up isnt the problem. im putting the time into the game though so i get that experience up to play the higher stuff later on.

chosen Matari is an excellent channel, also feel free to check out B-C-G Pub, no pressure to join and there are always people on.
Also, if you're looking to maximize WP and minimize ISK loss, you ought to consider getting your CPU up to lvl 3 before upgrading your suit. I run a std Min logi with all adv equip and run into few fitting issues with lvl 3 CPU. Adv uplinks are your friend, you can drop 2. |

and thus is the reason amarr and caldari fw is already on lifesupport vs matar and gal.

Check out my videos...maybe they'll give you some ideas for some good fittings. I'm going to be making some tutorial videos here soon but unfortunately 1.8 is around the corner and I want to wait until then.
Also join the chat channel "Heavy/Logi Funzone". It's a great place to squad up with some other good logistics players.
