With the new proposed changes to the Sentinel and Commandos, remove this ability and make them travel in Dropships and the ground transport when its released.
It will remove a cheap tactic that will be even more exploited once the suits become more powerful. |

But it's the only logical suit for driving any LAV, your LAV has as much health as your dropsuit
Do Not Feed The Imperfects. Feeding them may disrupt the natural setting.

I understand the logic but this is not the best way to go about it.
Either create a 'enter/exit vehicle' mechanic or perhaps make it once you leave a vehicle you cannot fire for a second or two. The former is much harder but more immersive, the latter is easier but may be too restrictive/unrealistic.
Always thought it was weird how we just "appear" inside and outside vehicles...though most games handle vehicles like this. |

Preventing HVY from using every vehicle is plain ****. Yet, I agree they should be unable to get inside HAVs (they cannot jump, how are they supposed to climb to the top of a tank???)

Every one will hate this.. but if there was an animation for leaving.. entering vehicles.. ppl wouldnt exploid it.
well Leaving a LAV is just: Jump out
Leaving a HAV should be it opening and the dropsuit connects to the machine and the machine closes in around the merc. which means leaving HAV's would take time... Leaving a dropship that is not in space would rocket him out.. like a jet pilot in a jet-plane
Also.. why cant we just run into the Dropship and walk around inside it? :P

slowly turn that mlt railgun towards them and hope they stand still long enough to fire?
if u want this in place then i guess snipers shouldnt be able to snipe with mass amounts of hp either..
its a bad idea overall. |

Excluding two entire suits from using the LAV is drastic. It would be better to simply make an animation of people getting into and out of vehicles so they can be shot at while exiing the vehicle. The speed at which they get out will be affected by the speed/weight of their suits so a Heavy will get out slower than a Scout. |

I think its cheap, maybe CCP doesnt care or for them its working as intended. Personally I dont like mechanics that allow such cheapness.
With the new buffs to heavies, this tactic will be even easier for them to carry out.
Oh and a heavy sniper is meat in so many ways.

Or see the whole front of the HAV open and your character jumping into a form fit chair (then ofcourse the tank would connect to the suit which is probably also connected to the merc.. same way as eve players pod is connected to their brain) Once sitting there the hood closes in on the merc giving the protective layer. If merc's enters a long the way to control the small turrets, other sections should open for them to enter as well. I could see it done in the gallente HAV.. it would be slow as **** to get in and out.. but it would make the game more realistic.
I once saw a GIF from a game i couldn't identify. A man flew a jet plane up the sky, jumped out and with a rocket launcher he blew the other plane in pursuit down, only to jump into the plane again and fly on. Entertaining yes.. realistic?
