Scions of Athra was more of an attempt to gather the bitter Amarr vets and spark some life into them. However, some people, who I will not name (but you know who you are) just up and left without saying anything, probably because the going was bad for Amarr in FW. Other people didn't seem motivated enough to really do anything, and even though we had a council of equals, there were certainly first among equals.
I mean, if core group of founders were all dedicated to Amarr in all ways, even when times are tough like it is now, then it would of worked. But honestly, I don't believe there are enough fully dedicated Amarr supporters - whose main goal is to serve Amarr and doesn't need million ISK weekly salariescan endure the hardships that we come across - out there to really form a corporation around. I wish there were, but I just don't see it.
Hard to form a corporation when the people you thought had your back and had faith in the idea simply leave without a word.

True Adamance wrote:Aisha Ctarl wrote:Title says it all, with me, Aero, and True gone, who is your effective CEO? Who the **** knows? It really doesn't matter because everyone abandoned us. By the time you and I left, there was really none of the original founders still there. Aisha left almost immediately, followed shortly by Checkmate, and then the guys Checkmate brought in became out of touch, and then Green Living stopped caring about FW. Again, it's really challenging to run a corporation when the people you selected to help you run it don't have the same determination that you do. And I'll take the blame for poorly selecting candidates and then hyping this whole thing up.
Anyways True, I was thinking about getting a new channel started called Amarr Academy or something like that. Actually, I was thinking of calling it Aero's Amarr Academy because then I can call it Triple-A (AAA), but I don't need to raise my ego up that high. Anyways, the point of this channel would be to squad up with the Amarr bluedots who have no clue what they are doing but want to get better, and then help them. Of course, the practice and training would be done in public matches, not FW. Would you be interested in being an instructor for this?

I'd love for Aisha to prove me wrong. Not really our calls to make, since PIE Inc he has been entitled to join whatever corp he wants, not our prerogative to make such comments. I regards to the Scions? Well Evicer as greatly as I respect you as an ally in the work that God provides us the Scions was indeed a noble and rather innovative Idea which never took off....but atleast we attempted to rejuvenate the 24th Crusade. I wished you would have done the same. For the Lord's sake remember who the real enemy is. Just because we both fight for Amarr doesn't mean we can't critique each other. On a personal level, Aisha is a friend of mine and I enjoy talking with him so I really don't want him to take this personally at all, but I really am disappointed with his etiquette in Dust. I hope he can settle down, and I wish him only the best of luck in finding a corporation where he can remain long term and serve the Amarr Empire if that is his desire.

Michael Arck wrote:I must say, sad to hear that SOA went this route. It is indeed most unfortunate, I would of absolutely loved to have SCIAT last for the duration of Dust's lifespan, and perhaps if Amarr was doing better in FW from the start then we would of had the time to really build a foundation (or maybe the same guys would of left as soon as things started turning South for Amarr). Alas, it was not meant to be.
However, I am able to find a silver lining in this. The formation of SCIAT led to many conversation with the admirals of PIE Inc, and I am happy to say that we have reached an agreement to make the corporation more Dust friendly while retaining all of what PIE represents and keeping the power in the hands of PIE admirals. By the end of today, it should show officially that I have returned to my home at PIE Inc, and have no intentions to leave their excellent corporation which has proven through the years that it is fully dedicated to the Amarr Empire. There is no place I would rather be right now.

Hmmmm to work for you ....?
I wouldn't mind curing FW of stupidity one blue dot at a time but they will crush my will again.....I don't know if my mind can handle that.....
I appreciate your honesty in the matter. Though should you decide your will has strengthened, I would love any assistance you can offer. I'm thinking of this as something potentially fun to do when not in FW. Take time off from the stress of the competition in FW and instead help some players gain their footing in much more relaxed public matches. Help show them general tips about game mechanics, help them with fittings on Amarr suits, teach them the tricks with Amarr weaponry, and really just relax and have a good time. Maybe also do some scheduled lectures on Amarr playstyle sort of like Dust Uni. But again, this wouldn't be a corporation, just a channel to help those who want to be helped.
And of course I extend this invite to Evicer as well, who surely has far more knowledge to offer than I do. Of course I understand if you reject.

And one more thing I would like to add. Currently I am at level 5 standing for Amarr nearing level 6, but I do not take any pride in this. Sure I could be doing well in my battles, but if the bulk of Amarr is failing then my personal achievements mean nothing. I am and always will be more interested in bettering Amarr as a whole than simply myself or my small sphere of acquaintances. And I hope my role in Scions of Athra speaks to that. Sure I may fail to accomplish this goal, I may stumble from time to time, but I will never stop pursuing this goal of bettering the whole of Amarr Faction warfare.
While the planetary control on the star map hovers between 0 and 1%, there is no time for celebration or applauding one's success.

Evicer wrote:Oswald Rehnquist wrote:When team queuing comes out,
would you guys be interested in a cal/ama corp of a solid small group or something like that?
The caldari have like 4-30 decent peeps spread across different time zones and corps that I play with, the only issue again is the time zones, which makes things a little difficult. See Aero now this is an opportunity.... I agree, and I would love to work out an agreement for the Amarr to help out the Caldari and the Caldari to help out the Amarr in FW. Combine our best forces together and help keep the pressure on throughout all timezones. That definitely sounds like something worth pursuing. Additionally, having a lot of armor tanked Amarr suits mixed in with shield tanking Caldari suits could potentially throw the opposition out of rhythm.

Aisha Ctarl wrote:Yup Aero is right, he and I may be friends, but on a gaming level, the dude absolutely hates me.
I care about two things in this game.
1) Using Amarr gear 2) ISK
If it ain't Amarr, I'm getting pissed, and if I'm not making ISK, well I'm getting livid. Also in RL I have little patience for ignorance, and the ignorance of blue dots in FW and in general usually pushes me over the edge very quickly so you hit the nail on the head Evicer - I tend to rage quit frequently. Somehow, I've managed to cut back on it a tad because I realized I was taking a GAME way too seriously like it was a job, but hey, I'm really into New Eden and the lore lol.
But yeah Aero and I are buddies, but he pretty much loathes me gaming wise...hell, the dude doesn't even talk to me.
Actually most people in DUST don't like me which I'm fine with, you're just another spot on the list really Evicer. I don't hate you on a gaming level, I just wish you could settle down, not abandon your squad in the middle of the match without warning, and find a corporation you'd be happy to stay with long term instead of giving people the sense that you are really excited for what they are doing and then walk away a few days later.
I'll still talk to you of course.

Evicer wrote:In a game and a universe where you are an immortal solder that can never die there are only 2 ways you can hurt the enemy.Make him go broke or make him loose the will to fight.
Wars are about changing hearts and minds.if you let them break your will then they have already won.....You must keep on keepin on as it were and never let them see you sweat. You cant ever loose that will, that drive,to crush the enemies will otherwise you've already lost....and that we cannot do.The Amarr dont bend the knee.
TL;DR I was probably to hard on you and I apologize for trolling you.But all RP and fancy words aside. If these cats make you quit the game then there is one less Amarr player....and some basement dwelling neckbeard will be getting his jollies off on that.Run FW when you can afford to then. Go balls out for one or 2 matches.Dont kill yourself.Take breaks.
You got to represent kid. If not you, then who?
Evicer, you are a great field commander and a great speaker. I am thankful the Amarr has you to support them.
