The Hacking bonus was cool on the logi. but at the same time it was never really a logi role. they are to be in the back providing support...
The Scout suit's are much better fitted for the hacking bonus no matter how hard it hurts so much of how people have setup PC strategies and personal skills.
These role bonuses will massively shift the specializations and different strategies based on the sight of certain racial suits on the field, much more different then now where there isn't much different from one suit to the next. or role to the next. |

Ouch. That DB rating would have to be less than 34 to compensate for the loss of suit bonus. Maybe the Minnie bonus? Would make Minnie scouts great.
That stupid scanner bonus...Ugh. Not sure scouts can survive that one.

Disagree. You can't run a true infiltrator role without more equipment slots. I run/ran with active scanner, droplinks and explosives and I supported my team. A number of battles I turned the tide because I hacked the right objectives, took out a tank that was causing havoc, or opened a new front.
Even if they reworked the scout classes so they had more equipment slots and the hacking bonus (which I can see), I would still want the hacking bonus on the min-logi suit because I would want a suit that was an okay medic and an okay infiltrator. Other logi suits should be excellent medics and (at least some) scout suits should be excellent infiltrators.

Wouldn't want to anger those few who like the minny scout stabbing bonus though, they have pretty sharp knives 
As for the hacking bonus, I thought Cyrius made a very good point. In other games with team based objectives, the fast fragile scout usually gets a bonus to capturing objectives in addition to their speed, like TF2 where the scout class counts as two players when capturing control points. Something important like that should go to all races, not just one
Was thinking of lowering the base profile to something crazy like 30, so noobs can hide from advanced scanners without needing all of their skillpoints in profile dampening and scout dropsuits. It's supposed to be stealthy after all.
Hell, make it 20 and it will be low enough where a vet can hide from that damn focused scanner with a pair of complex profile dampeners and still maybe be able to fit a plate or two. I think the game can handle the horror of glass scouts being able to flank a squad holding the i-win device

Couldn't agree more. Logistics are equipment people providing support to their squad, while scouts are more behind enemy lines get-in-and-out quickly suits, it makes much more sense for the scout to have a hacking bonus. In fact, maybe the 5% hacking speed per level will go to the Minmatar Scout, I've been saying it should for months.

No one is saying that the hacking speed on a logistics suit wasn't useful, it certainly was. We're just saying it makes more sense as a scout suit bonus. You want an okay medic and an okay infiltrator? Dust is about specializing, so pick one.

Give Minmatar the Scanner Bonus and Gallente the Rep Tool bonus. It would make more sense. Gallente is the iconic Logi-Bro, while the Minmatar Logi, although still good as a Logi-Bro, has always been the suit of choice for Infiltrators, Combat Engineers, and Demolitions Experts. These guys could all make good use of a scanner.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else, there is the Learning Coalition.
