Let's also not forget that there's more than 4 equipment items. Unlike with weapon bonus, for instance if you're Amarr your bonus will count for Laser Rifle but also for Scrambler Rifle and more to come, with these equipment bonus there could be fittings that don't have any benefit on whatever faction you try to use them with.

I get TK'ed all the time for destroying friendly equipment in FW because, and this is a quote, "It's a tactic". Yep, 50 Uplinks inside a city just sporadically placed is such a great tactic. "Blueberrys need a fortress of uplinks to spawn on". While I could see running 3 repair tools has a purpose, I think the bonus will make it pointless, 110 HP, two targets, 31.5m sounds just fine to me, I'll use those equipment slots for something more useful than covering more bases. Plus, 47.25 is way too long of a repair for me, could be handy, but, not really used.

Even now I still chuckle when I see a blue dot cowring behind some cover with armor almost gone and I send a stream of golden goodness wayyyyyyy over to where he is. Well, ok maybe 50m is overkill . You aren't being "forced" down a path. You just have a specialty now. You get a bonus to fitting equipment, and that equipment will be JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS IT IS NOW. It just means you can't do it AS WELL as another logi who has that bonus. I understand that you might not like scanning, but you will probably get a respec anyways. And even if not, why wouldn't you use the scanner? You get a bonus to it! Use it! I had to use nova knives on my scout to make my bonus useful. Guess what? I learned to love it Get over it.
