Oh boy was I ever excited! Seriously though, this is one of the best parts of this game. I'm by no means "good" at this game, so when I see that light blinking after a match I can't help but feel a real sense of achievement.
First hate mail...yup, going places in this game. |

I used to get them, just for killing a tank that nobody could get, or out scouting a scout,or the one time i got a quad kill using mlt locus(tht resulted in me getting OB's designated just for me the whole night too XD)
Haven't gotten aby recently- it's more just GG from various people...

My team was redlined badly. 2-3 enemy tanks on our line keeping us from doing anything. I had a rail tank so I'd sneak around a hill, kill one of their tanks and hide while on cool down. Then repeat.
It was the same two guys I kept killing so after a while they'd try to blitz into my redline and get me. I'd drive around and they'd chase me deeper and deeper into my redline until they committed suicide. This happened a few times. It was hilarious.
One of them continues to send me colourful messages of praise. Sometimes these messages contain tips as to what I should do.
They argue I should have run straight out of the redline into their ambush. That not doing this makes me some kind of...cat...or something. |

This ^ I can go 20-2 and better with a combat rifle and not a peep, bring out my MD and no matter how poorly I do I get hatemail lol.

I created this character on January 10th 2013, so I have been playing DUST for 1 full year, and I have only received one hate mail in that whole time.
I had been trying to use up those impact grenades that had come with the Merc Pack. I had them on a Sniper fit where I usually did not use grenades anyway. Figured I would save some ISK since I already had them. The funny thing was that I had actually cooked the grenade out of habit, so the result would have been the same with a normal grenade. I canGÇÖt remember what the mail said exactly, but I think it contained words such as GÇ£CrutchGÇ¥ GÇ£no skillGÇ¥ GÇ£Pay-to-WinGÇ¥ etc. Fairly standard wording. Nothing original unfortunately.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else, there is the Learning Coalition.

For some reason I've recently recieved 3 hatemails in the past 2 weeks all from using my Assault Dropship. One that was my favorite was by assaulting a railgun tanker who thought he had me pinned, and as he ran he went under-ground below objective A on one of the newer, larger pipeline maps, but at this point he was on fire and all I needed was one more shot, and low and behold, there's apparently a gap in the middle of A that you can shoot missiles through and hit what's below, and that's exactly what I did. He literally sent me 6 PSN messages all trying to not only insult me, but my mother as well  But hey, for dropship pilots, the best hate mail is railtank hate mail. |

I once thought I got my very first hatemail, turns out it was a enemy squad complimenting our "spider tanking"
happened again a while back, turns out it was GG from Oxskull so that was pretty cool though :)
Guess I ain't annoying/good enough to make people rage via mail

Hate mail are like dust's version of Psn trophies. I recently got one from a thale sniper wich i stumbled by while hunting tanks with my forge gun. He claimed i "f***d with the wrong sniper" , and swore to hunt me down. Cute.

When they take it personally and look for "revenge" they become stupid. Which is fun because they keep failing which makes them try harder.
Like that sniper who keeps going back to the spot you just killed them over and over and over.
...or that famous/infamous Dust merc. Spot him crouching in a corner sending a hate mail. Kill him and watch him leave the round. |

My first hate mail was from some guy in KiLo.
I was tossing core locus grenades in the gallente research facility several months back. He was always killed.
Most recent was popping a gunloggi and madrugar with a sica.
