I commenly shoot even heavys out of turrets in a matter od miliseconds, them not moving just makes it hilariously easy, personaly i think they need a larger body shield at least in the front of the gun. Oh and when im in my tank i like running Jeeps over and watchign them implode under my treds takign all its ocupants with it... Tho i tend to do that to red and blue jeeps alike.

This thread just makes me want proper vehicles that... well, protect their occupants. If you saw any if this game's LAVs in a real world battle... you'd laugh.

But I digress. Small Railgun turrets are quite good. I've seen Gunlogis make great use of them to defend their tank.

i have proto small rail turrets, and they one shot most infantry. The only problem it has is that the shots are still some what inaccurate at long range, or if you're on uneven ground.

I remeber a proto heavy using OPs tactic, with proto small rails on a MLT LAV. Blew him up twice, once with a barage of swarms, the other time with a tank. Squadmate tanker nailed him couple times as well.

I have no idea why somebody would spend more on suits and small railguns turrets than my kitted out Maddy with adv modules and a nuetron blaster.

Is it bad that i use them for murder taxi still?
Oddly my CEO can steal my kills using the built in missle, right before i kill them.

Btw: best kill streak i had was landing on 5 people at once, then squishing the next guy against a wall, activate NoS, squish 2 others.

I and a couple of squadmates were using them in a Gunnlogi the other day.

We killed a tank easily without using the main turret at all.
We massacred infantry.
We destroyed installations with single railguns.

... That sounds scary.

Why the overkill, jihads are supposed to blow up on the cheap.

Seriously guys, the only reason people aren't asking to nerf the hell out of this tactic is because everything is being eclipsed by Tank spam right now and no one has skilled into this turret. The Small Railgun turret is a rapid fire tactical sniper that, at the advanced level, does 348 damage per shot with a half second delay between shots.

My fit is as follows :

Methana -
Militia Scanner
Basic Armor Hardener
Efficient Light Armor Repair

Pretty sure it needs armor fitting proficiency to fit, probably doesn't need it maxed. For those looking to just try out the fit swap out the Hardener with an Armor Plate.

I use a Militia Heavy Suit in order to soak up as much damage as possible, if I take too much infantry damage I switch to the driver's seat and drive away. If AV appears on the field I have my 40% Hardener for emergencies. The only ways I've been taken out are with extremely well placed Proxy Mines, Rail Tanks, or Railgun Installations (crazy AI). Occasionally I can be shot out if I'm careless. In this instance the Rail Rifle is the most likely culprit though I've been shot out by shotgunners that have snuck up on me on occasion as well.

I laugh at single swarmers (barring proto swarms) or forge gunners because I can easily turn on my hardeners, turn my turret around, and gun them down before they do significant damage to me. Try it guys, really.

Oh, and buff AV.

That's actually a really good idea now that they're REALLY full-auto!
