These provide Armor + Regenerative Health. My question = If a character is spec'd into armor plates AND armor repair, should the armor repair efficiency affect the repair rate of reactive armors?

It has always been my understanding that you are always better off fitting plates / reps instead of any of the funky newer plate types as they use the same if not less PG/CPU when you fit plates and or reps and you get that bonus to rep % from the skill.
A lot of things in this game need tweaking. |

It depends on how complicated CCP wants to make their game. Right now they have a tag system which allows certain items to get bonuses.
Reactive plates are tagged as plates, so they get the plate bonus. I don't know if it's possible for items to be tagged as two things.

I always at least put in a basic reactive plate to get that 1 rep while getting a few more extra EHP, those 2,3 or 5 reps + Bonus arent gonna be of much use when you ran out of that 1 EHP you didnt have.
I used to run 2x plate 1x complex repper but 2x plate + 1 Reactive plate + Repair Hives is much better, if its a graze just let the 1 HP/S rep the damage, if its too severe pull out a hive.
Most of the time your repping back 10-50 EHP so not using at least a basic Reactive would eventually wear you down
Its a usefull plate, don't dish it

This kind of sounds like why turtle is more turtle. |

They should at least have an increase in repair rate somewhere in the tiers.
Also, Ferroscale should protect a bit more because it is too close to the stats on the reactives. |

I do not think so. I think the ferroscales are fine as is. |

they need to be (std adv pro) 60 armor 2 rep 85 armor 4 rep 110 armor 5 rep
armor reps need to be 3 rep 5 rep 7 rep
armor plates 100 135 155
so they can buff shields

yea I always run w/ a compact nano on my min scout for reps.
I do have a couple dragonfly assault classes with a std. reactive slapped on as a filler so I can slowly regen, it's surprisingly useful if you live long enough, but most roles it's not worth it. so yea, forget reactive plates, go normal plates + reps, you'll get more of both |

I think the repair rate should increase with your armor plate skill. It increases efficacy, which to me means it should affect all aspects of the module. Reactives are pretty bad right now..

I do think that the skill bouns from armor repair should cover all armor repair. Reactive plates are iffy in any case, good for lower level sheild based assault players, just that lil bit of rep can be good, When running an armor build I'd run plates and rep. But then again one of my better medium builds runs plates, reactive plate and rep hives and it does work.

Yea they give both armor and armor repair rate if skilled into both but those plates are utter garbage, bonuses such and the fitting is brutal |
