1. You obviously know nothing about software development or business in general. Programmers are professionals, they have a skill that requires years of training and practice to hone. You can't just grab anyone off the street to do that job. If a company wants to attract and keep talent, they have to offer working conditions that are comparable to the rest of the industry.
2. This is Dust 514 were talking about, it's just a game... It's not an essential service with lives hanging in the balance (air traffic control or hospital software, etc) which would be the only case where employees should be asked to work continuous hours until it is fixed.
3. You got a game for free (maybe you bought an expansion pack and spent a little money) and yet you feel entitled to demand that people be kept from their families during the holidays and not be allowed to take vacation which they earned by working.
One day you'll have a job and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Thank the gud lawd that I'm so chilled out and easy going  . My cool calm and collected nature lends itself to realistic expectations and patience. I've been here since E3 build and have watched it evolve every step of the way. I don't have your need for completion and perfection right away...I guess because I have other things of importance in my life and I don't get all butt devastated over stuff like this.
Just enjoy the ride, unless said butt devastation causes you unbearable discomfort when we hit a few bumps.

True but I mean uncharted 2 is one of the most critically acclaimed games off all time, my opinon: meh, not bad!
People like journalists don't get payed to enjoy games, they get payed to assess basic aspects of a game that they believe to be important.
Until they well and truly immerse themselves, their reviews are nothing more than endless twaddle. They will never experience the spontaneity of this game, of seeing heavies barrel down small corridors, of mass drivers playing king of the hill.
They will never experience the thrill of jumping off a sniper tower to avoid a crashing dropship, they will never experience the tension of black ops raid during a skirmish. They will never experience the adrenaline rush of accidentally running into all out war, they can never truly experience the game and they shun it because of that.

Haha, yeah uncharted is a bit meh, tomb raider made EZ mode I say and I hated tomb raider.
I like the uncharted multiplayer though, char customisation is cool but I hate quick scoping. Yes its a beast but its a joke lol.
Anyone remember low gravity with jump match and sniper arena mutators in unreal tournament multiplayer? Now that was skill.
Ps. Anyone ever enjoy the low gravity telefrag matches? Damn those were fun.

time off is a right...not a privelage
what gives you the right to dictate to ccp that their staff cannot have time off because your game, supplied to you for free is not completely finished.
would you be willing to have no time off because something needing some work on it. dust is part way through a 5 year plan. are you really saying you don't want anyone in ccp to have any time off until its finished. thats just stupid.

Its 10 year I believe and we are about 2 and a half ish years in roughly, long roadmap because it will get better and better as tech gets better I believe (no not me lol).

They are allowed time off because they are human beings. Despite what people may have you believe, first things first in this life are your family, friends and loved ones.
Granted they (CCP) have had a very rocky development of DUST up to this point but I for one still enjoy the game. I just really want CCP to give me a reason to spend money on their product again.
I used to HAVE to have sp boosters but now I dont care so much. I would love paint jobs / more customisation of dropsuits, weapons and vehicles however. Vehicle paint jobs or total customisation would definitely get me to spend a few extra quid. |

Amurrrica has some of the lowest amount of vacation days and little to no benefits for most of its working class, so yeah they get two weeks off in Iceland and Shangh+íi, and yeah you get a day or two off in the US. You should probably just calm down. At the very most, the next update is being delayed until February. I don't blame CCP at all for taking weeks off to spend with their families around the holidays instead of catering to people who will never be happy no matter what they do.
Seriously just take a moment to imagine being a developer at CCP and realizing that no matter how hard you work there will always be people complaining and calling your work ******. There is only so much that can be done per month and the community demands more each update.
There will never be a magical update that makes this game perfect for you and if you're going to have a fit over the update expected in January being pushed to February then good luck with your refund. |

Its your fault you get fk all holidays because those kinds of jobs rely on people like you who are incapable of or do not think you can better yourself.
Its your fault you may not be as fortunate as others so don't go forcing your deprived ideals on others who had done something to make life a bit more cosy.
